I've been intrigued with this forever..what do you do when you're finished the coil unscrew it?
Yup, then slide a screwdriver or drill bit thru the coil to hold in place for an application like the CLR where my screw is too big for the slot. Also for a standard screw you'll have to wind backwards to follow the threads.

Oh cheese, somebodys always gotta turn the simplest stuff inta rocket science.

I just found 3 screws in my junk jar that looked like contenders. Chose da long one figgerin it would be the easiest ta work wit (And yeah it was already sanitized I sniffed it to be sure). Did a 7/6 wrap. Screwed it off, tried stickin my 3mm screwdriver thru, too big. 2.5mm screwdriver fit a tad loosely, so it's 2.6mm ID. Ohmed it at 1.3 too low fer moi. Did another wit 8/7 wrap. Ohmed it at 1.45 perfectamundo! Stuck it on my lone little blue screwdriver tried to put it in a CLR too wide. Squished it twice on little blue and it fit like a glove. Shoved in a hunka cotton and I'm a vapin. C'mooonn already wit da hypocondriacal estimatory parameters of da thread pitch diametrically stuff huh?;)

LOL! Foggy, that was great!

I just DON'T bother with 'contact" coils at all for ANYTHING anymore

just never seen any improvement for fuss involved - JMO

:)

With Koil Kurler in hand (jig, coil thingie, wrappie wire gizmo), I like to toss it aside, and simply pluck a ready made coil from my FT bag o' tricks.

I like these.

$7.55 Authentic UD Kanthal A1 Pre-Coiled Resistance Wire for Rebuildable Atomizers (50-Pack) - 28 AWG / 0.3mm dia. / 1.3ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Yep, just skins. I ordered from J Wraps. I've just don't have the artistic skill that Kat has, but I do look on in envy

In fact, I have been thinking about replacing the wrap on the Pico with the blue eggroll. Something that will match nicely!

You're more than kind, Chemtx, but for me is like cookin' pasta. I throw stuff at my vape gear and if it sticks......

I'm kinda pretty much in this camp ↑

for all that bothers most of our elderly group eyesight, arthritis, numbness, dexterity challenged, fear
I think winding some wire around a small stick is about the easiest thing there is
all the math is done here for us all (30g 6times around 2mm etc.)

I grab some wire (5") a toothpick (2mm) hold one end of the wire to the toothpick and very fast wrap about 8 times around it

I look at it, which ever end looks worse, I rotate a wrap or two off - install it in coil body, cram some cotton in - vape face off

Hah! Do you know which atties take right-handed coils and which take left-handed coils?

For instance, Kayfuns take a right-handed coil. The wretched Erlkoningin takes a left-handed coil. I'm not kidding ya!

so you got them then ?
I really like the STM
I think it vapes very good, looks good, built well and gives you options...
tho I always thought (and still do) they are a little pricey (but it is about the most COMPLETE kit of any)

:smokie:

Mt. Baker has them on sale for 14 bucks.

Just sayin'.

I can't believe how just about everyday when I come on this site, there's something being recommended that I want. I really do believe I'm actually done with stocking up on tanks! Counting my protanks, I have over 10 tanks. I mean, I plan to live another 40 years and a good tank should last several years, right? That's what I'm telling myself, at least. We'll see if my resolve not to buy more tanks sticks!
I think Everyone gets a bad case of Shinyitis. It should slow down in time. I thinks.

In case you want to save some money this time around, there's a couple of decals from VapeNW (that's if you like'em. They're very inexpensive). :)iStick Pico Stickers by Eleaf

Nope never experience either of them. Unless my first rebuildable the Egrip (my first APV) RBA counts? Often heard that described as a tiny KF style deck. Don't recall if I ever actually wrapped a coil for it, the included prewraps were indestructible and I became infatuated with anything Kanger coiled around the same time.
The Erkle? I wrote that off the first time I TRIED to read the name.... sent my dyslexia into overdrive.

I can remember when it was somewhat prestigious to have an American Express. Not anymore. :( Got rid of mine a couple of years ago.

Only card I'll use online is my BlueBird (Amex/Wal-Mart Prepaid) has never cost me a penny in fees. If they don't want that or PayPal they don't want my money.
