I understand peoples reluctance to give out credit card information to relatively unknown sources. I found that my Bank Of America has a service where you can easily obtain a one time credit card number that is associated with your real card number. You can set the amount it is good for and a date for expiration. This can all be done in a couple minutes on line. I feel very safe with this procedure. Check your credit card service- you may this option and don't know it.

B of A shop Safe......
I love BofA shop Safe. Just recently moved all of my banking to them. The 'other' bank I was at did not offer anything like this and I got tired of having my info hacked on my cc.

shop Safe is wonderful and I have slept much better knowing I never have to use my real cc number again.

:)

Sorry to rain on your parade, but the problem with cc fraud is much worse than we all suspected... Read this and weep.

So your bank has told you your card is compromised
Thanks Kat for the link, but I am already way ahead of this. Stopped using a actual computer and went with a chromebook that runs on Google system,(Android os) that does not store anything on it cause it doesn't have any storage. Never did keep any info online anyway even when I used a real computer, nor did I ever store my info on anything but a flash drive that always gets removed when shutting down the computer.

:)

Do you use your cc when you shop? Get gas? In restaurants? Do you carry it in your wallet when you walk around?

We're so vulnerable. And the hackers are only getting better. I don't think we can really protect ourselves from identity theft. Heck, if the CIA can be hacked...

I hear ya... For me it has only been this one acct at this one bank that ever got hacked. And it was a visa. None of my others have ever had a problem, hence the bank had bad or serious lack of security checks. I used to carry my wallet until one day, a guy ran into me and I heard a curious beeping sound. Did not take any chances and had all of my cards replaced. Now when grocery shopping, I use cash and just have my dl in my pocket. If that is what it takes to protect me, then that is what I do. I may not have a lot but what I do have I plan on keeping or spending myself. No help is required. LOL.

Now, if you are talking some of the 'enablers' in 'some' threads, well that's a different story......lol

BTW-- does anyone know where to get glass tanks that fit the Armour tank. I did finally get a couple of the Armour tanks from TW, but the frosted tank that comes with makes me nervous because I don't like plastic tanks.

I saw that! They sure copied that design:D. But at around $50 it is quite a bit more expensive. Is it that good?

Are those touch screen?

Looking good. Never had a Smoktech mod. What do we know about the chip they are using, if anything?

I know nothing about Smoktech gear
I just seen them and thought I'd post it here...

I was never a fan of Smok Electronics - not sure what they've done say over the last 8-10months :?: :danger:

I won't be buying one (any)

Two more things we can all do to protect our identities:
1. Don't leave the PC or ipad or phone connected to the wifi when we're not on line. Turn it off.
2. Wrap CCs in foil when carrying them around.

it's called the Amor tank. Can't remember where I got it. Puff?

Oh, right! I tried to google "armour" with not much luck.

I think TW is (was) selling them.

So you like yours? Is it any better than the eGo Megas? I already have three of them--they are larger and glass, which I prefer.

I like mine a lot, but some don't like the frosted plastic tank
