All this buying for the vapocalypse reminds me I've been meaning to ask if anyone knows when is our final last chance to stash before those taxes take effect across the country, assuming the FDA gets its way. I cant seem to find a straight answer.

The FDA has nothing to do with taxes--they don't have the authority. Individual states do, however. CA is one of them.

I wish we had a source for replacement o-rings. Different colored o-rings to identify various wires would be very helpful. With replaceable o-rings, CLR heads should last a very very long time if cared for.

How are you CLR users keeping your heads identified ? Kanthal vs S.S. vs

How many Packs of CLR coils did you buy before you felt done stocking up?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't stock up. I've been vaping for 7+ years and I've always been told to "stock up." I never listened and I'm glad I didn't--I'd be sitting now on a stockpile of cartomizers or CE4s and eGo batteries. Technology is improving all the time; better mods, better atomizers, more knowledge. I try different things all the time--one at a time. Vaping will not be banned--it's too late for that. It may become more expensive due to taxation, but it won't go away. I'd rather pay more for a better and safer device some time in the future than be stuck with obsolete and potentially even dangerous stuff.

But that's just my :2c:

YMMV

Agreed. I must say your opinion is different from many on ECF. I find it refreshing!

Thank you. The only thing I bought "just is case" is 1 L of 100 mg/ml nicotine in argon sealed glass bottles; in a freezer, this should last for a very long time. But that's it.

I can let you know IF and WHEN that happens... ;)

With the CLR coils, I don't see a need to do a huge amount of stocking. Wire, wick, "new" CLR.

Yep.. They caught my eye too. There's some nice colors in there but I am still on the Shinyitis wagon. It took me around 5 years to get there, so I won't jump off yet.

:bday:!!!!!!!!!!

Every color they offer sort of helps me to ID my tanks. Plus (believe it or not)..... a SPREADSHEET!!!!!!!!!

Long as one is comfortable when it comes to your own personal vaping needs thats what matters .

Thing i have found in the past when i like something was a little while later it became obsolete to something different and newer maybe for the better and in some cases not.

What gets,me though is how incompatible products are to one another such as coil heads but i understand why.

I'm into model trains such as Lionel / MTH. they are not too compatible in some ways but competition which benefits us all as it gives us choices.

Love our ego tanks and coil heads which wont become obsolete in our household we are fortunate to say.

Speaking of coils and incompatibility.....

So, as you guys know, despite my whining, I bought a couple of the Amor tanks. (If for nothing else, I liked the name.)

They came with coils. Hmmm.

Okie dokie, stuck in this odd coil that really doesn't look feel taste smell sound like an Egg Roll coil, but what the heck.

upload_2017-3-12_22-6-44.png

A few vapes in, and the thing gurgled more than a dental patient after a procedure. (wait, that's gargle, right?)

Horrid little nothing vape. Not even a wisp. Then, much to my surprise (and DISLIKE) the rest of the tank full of liquid exited the air flow hole. Oh how NICE. :grr:

What's a vaper to do? I twisted and tightened. I blew and blew (no, Katya, my house didn't fall down), and I cleaned. I raised wattage. I meditated. I screamed. I chanted.

(not really)

Then I did the best thing one could EVER do. I RIPPED that coil out of its little housing and FLUNG it into the garbage!!

I replaced it with our beloved CLR, and now tankie and me have been having the nite of our lives.

All that said? Wismec, what WERE you thinking??

I got a couple of those Armor tanks and am glad i didn't bother trying their coils. Vapes like a champ with the CLR. I did, however, also pick up the Armor Plus. Ugh......Glad it was only $7. It came with their own RBA and leaked like nobody's business. Into the never to be used again pile it went.

Welp, S&S, who knew. I thought the coil would at least be doable for awhile. Funnily, DPL's was abstolutely fine, tho he did change his out for a REAL CLR after we discussed my maiden voyage.

What is the Armor (Amor?) Plus for 7 buckaroonies? It has an RBA section, yet LEAKED?

Ah the pile of "never to be used again" between us might require a new planet. :vapor:

LOL. still can't seem to spell that one right? Must be a 'thing' I have with the name? Dunno. Even with the name misspelled I stand by what I said. The Amor Plus does not use CLR but saw that an RBA came with. Yes, leaked like crazy......too bad cause it was(is) a nice looking tank otherwise. It was only $7 at totally wicked and I found it when I was searching for a larger version of the reg Amor tank since it only holds around 2.5ml. I like larger tanks so I don't have to fill often.

She likes big tanks and she canna' lie

Welp, coming from one who gets gleeful from mangling the English language to bits and pieces, ARMOR woiks fer me! :D

I think we might be coming full circle with these tanks. The Egg Roll, with its 4ml (4ml, right kids?), seems to be the outstanding performer with the CLR coils. Enuf capacity to suit most of us, somewhat good looking (mega visibility), and so far, I don't believe there are too many negative reports.

And with 6, you get....... Egg Foo Yung !!

I'm still using the same 4 coils.
^^^^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^

I've got about 15+ and another 10-12 CLs to scavenge insulators from. With the way so many folks report they've been using the same coil forever I don't see the need for more. I'll probably snag a few more one day but not a priority.
