Don't ask for pictures as its embarrassing how many ego items we now have.

The Mrs still has her old ego items from years ago as we been at it for about 7 now. Ego -T, Ego-C the whole alphabet !
More vape mail came today Ego one mega kits that were on clearance for 10.00 now there all gone as i just looked out of curiosity , have one in rotation now with a few others of the same the rest stashed.

Came with little charger,2600 mah battery, drip tip and 2 cl coils which i always give to the Mrs .
She uses them and likes them ,one day she will break into her stash of clrs .

Came out to about 9.30 each with the free shipping and 5.00 discount but basically bought them for the tank but use the battery until it stops for good.

Thanks to the person that posted link , sorry i could give only one like.

Why don't you suggest it to modders in @mikepetro 's big thread? I know nothing about metals.
Um... they're metallic... I know that... they melt... yup. They can be cast or forged or spun or extruded... uh huh.

This is contradictory to what I can find. I don't have the science background, but Nb can't be soldered without a specialized spark (electrical) welder. I can't melt it, cast it, extrude it. I can draw wire to work harden but I have to use cold fusion to join it.

I know Nb is added to alloys to increase temp, physiological and chemical resistance (molybdenum group). When I hunt for electrical resistance it doesn't take much to land in superconductivty (Nb-Ti) which is more about physics and unrelated to vaping. Ti also doesn't show up on charts comparing common metals like copper and yet it's used.

I just have a hunch, as if r&d applies to vaping anymore, that there could be an application/alloy created for vaping specific wire utilizing untraditional metals due to heat stability, inert properties, anti-corrosion ability to withstand conditions in an atty.

Not a lot found in plain english for edc use; Heating elements | Plansee

316L was known as "medical grade" or surgical steel. Has same % of nickel or higher but nickel was bound in a process so it didn't leech. So they thought. Turned out it does leech, sometimes more than 304/316. No longer used for medical devices (hip replacements) or tattooing. There are some 316's that don't leech but no way of knowing which ones. Main point is 316L is about the process. Same content as reg 316.

I've avoided Ni200 coils => leeching (when heated) of nickel carbonyl into ejuice...

[Nickel carbonyl is a known carcinogen (especially lung cancer...since it stays in the lung)]...

If SS316L (which is 10-14% nickel) now has been shown to leech nickel carbonyl...does that mean that it, also, could be quite dangerous to use for vaping???

@pufZeppelin I know you don't like Smok products but I got this today. This is a suh-weet little mod!

so how is the neat 'lil mod doing ?? - it does look cool...

back in the day, I continually read of people having troubles with their SMOK products (electronically) more than most others
that's why I am leary toward buying/using them...
skip ahead a couple years, how far has SMOK advanced ??? (I no longer hear an abundance of complaints by the general peep population)

they make interesting enuff mods that plenty of reviewers have a look and I have watched several of them...

I DON'T NEED anything, but I am ALWAYS looking for the ultimate device that will survive my wifes' brutality (small, durable)

as of late she has killed a Pico - just yesterday she dropped her SMART BOX and separated the base on her eGo ONE mega tank (again) K.I.A.
then later in the day she dropped her Presa, the battery door flew off and the 18650 flew somewhere (later found it) sez she was panicked to have NO device working

If SS316L (which is 10-14% nickel) now has been shown to leech nickel carbonyl...

I haven't seen any evidence/studies/reports suggesting that, have you? The one study I'm very familiar with (from USC) actually shows that there are more metal particles in ambient air than in e-cig vapor, but it' only one study. We need more for sure.

Data from the USC study, including Compounds, Outdoor air, e-Cigarette, and normal Cigarette.

http://www.rsc.org/suppdata/em/c4/c4em00415a/c4em00415a1.pdf

For your convenience, listed below are the amounts of Cr, Ni, Pb, Zn and Al in outdoor air vs e-cigarette vapor: ;)

Cr: 5.53 vs 4.22
Ni: 5.57 vs 6.14 (+/-2.9)
Pb: 13.28 vs 9.85
Zn: 54.31 vs 56.08 (+/- 21 [sic])
Al: 333.27 (±62.93) vs 161.43 (±71.35)

So, vapor is actually healthier, per this study, than the air we breathe here in SoCal.

Oh dear. I won a Smok TFV4 mini a long time ago and I'm still afraid to even try it. It came with some scary looking coils (sextuple?). But it also has a nice looking RBA with a Clapton coil pre-installed. Anyone familiar with that atty? Should I try it?

Dieseler types -

Brought me to thinking one can use a lanyard if device permits it.

I guess so this individual can keep it from falling over or losing it on a ship on deadliest catch tv episode one of the younger Captains had a vaping device on a lanyard .
Anyone use these for there ego's ?

Boneheaded move today on my part. Got another Amor and placed my CLR coil in, filled it up with juice and sat back ready for a nice vape. Kept tasting terrible. Finally, I unscrewed the bottom and discovered I'd forgotten to put the cap of the coil back on! They're obviously there for a reason!
