I disagree with some of what has been said here. While he may of been offensive to certain groups, he often poked fun at himself and didn't single out one group...everyone was a candidate for his jokes. I'm sad that he's gone.

You are judging him by today's standards? That is the problem, he wasn't from this era. Most of us grew up with this gentleman on our tv's(if we were lucky enough to have one).

Plus speaking ill of the deceased doesn't bode well. Shows a lack of........
