I have both Riva and Ego. Although I use both equally, I get longer battery life from the Rivas. (Naturally, because the Riva is a 750mah while the Ego is 650mah).

The gold band on the Rivas does not bother me as much as the slick glossy finish. I prefer the matte finish on the Egos.

All in all, I have had great performance from both brands.

ego. I have both and I think the finish on the riva is cheap looking and I hate the gold. However, I love the black finish on my ego as well as the silver accents. The riva performance however is equal and I see no difference between the two.

Also, if you buy the riva, and a blank tank atty thinking itll match, it wont. The two blacks are so different it looks silly!

3 Riva 510 kits from LF. I've had problems with 3 of the batteries. Two have been replaced and I'm waiting, almost 2 full days, to get a response from LF to get the thirs one replaced under their warranty. No more Riva and no more LF, for me. Lower prices do ot make up for bad support. I have ordered 2 Ego kits from another vendor and hopefully the product, as well as the retailer, will be more reliable.

I like that the Riva is a true 3.7v unit, you get better performance off of most attys. BUT, my riva acts squirrelly now and then, it will blink three times and refuse to work with some attys. They will work on my egos and 510 batts. I'll try it again the next day and it will work fine. So overall, I would have to say the egos are higher quality, but when the riva is working right, it's a little better.
