Ego overheating??

I'm sitting at my desk and reach in my coat, and my ego is really hot. Thought it might've been some change in my pocket set it off so I took it out. 1 hour later and its still hot and the battery is almost dead.

Any ideas as to what's going on? Should I throw it out?

Sounds like it has shorted out internally. If it were me, I would dispose of it properly and buy a new one.

Bummer dude. At least it didn't do any damage to anything. I'd not risk it. THrow it away and get another. Unless of course you got it from someone who offers a warranty and it is still covered. Doubtful but worth asking.

A hot eGo battery is a goner. You don't want to take the risk of it going full gonzo and venting dangerously.

Time for a new unit.
