Ego Problems

Hi Everyone

I read a bit stuff about the Ego Starter kits etc ce4 ah650 battery etc. it's a bit confusing how long these actually last, i had mine about two weeks now and have used it just about every day. I washed it out a few times and dry burned it a couple of nights ago i did have Ice Mint in it earlier and now i got Spearmint juice in. But i feel it is struggling on flavour it likes it keeps coming and going and now it feels like i'm vaping steam. i tried unscrewing the mouth piece and screwing it back again it seems to work a bit. Is my Ego on it's way out ? do i need a new clearomizer for it ?

Any help would be very grateful, as i don't want to keep filling iy up with juice if i'm not going to get the full effects from it.

I have no experience with the Ego Starter kits but generally starter kits come with heads that need to be replaced or have their coil replaced. Depending on the model, their life can be as short as a week.

I would start by replacing the CE4 (or the CE4 coil if that's possible) and see if that doesn't correct the problem.

Not sure where you got your info on dry burning, but the coil needs to have its wick removed first or you`ll damage/burn up the wick that`s in it and it wont hold enough juice to get a good vape out of it. Kinda sounds like thats what you might have done.

The simple solution is to try a new authentic coil. You need to make sure you get a good coil and it comes from a reliable source as these coils are copied all over the place and the worst are junk.

CE4 clearo's are meant for 1 time use. I would say toss it and get some replacements.

The CE5 is the same thing, only you can change out the coil (the innards) so you don't have to replace the whole thing each time.

The CE4's can be rebuilt, a bit of a royal pain to do it but I rebuilt maybe half a dozen already. They are cheap on ebay and easy to just chunk them and get another, im just odd like that and like to rebuild them If you wish to try to rebuild one there is a couple of video's on YouTube that walsk you thru it bu trust me, it is a pain!

But that doesnt sound like your problem. You said your steam and the flavor comes and goes. If your coil was bad then thats it, your done until you rebuild it or replace it. If your wick was bad it would be that way all the time. Sounds like you have vape tounge to me which happens. Your sense of taste comes and goes from vaping (too much?). That happened to me last night, I went thru around 20 ml of juice yesterday and everything was tasting bland last night.

You're coil's toast. You'll either need to rebuild or replace.

If you want to do it on the cheap, get a mini protank 2 or 3 and a packs of the old style coils. Then, get a 50 pack of prewrapped coils/wicks from fasttech for $3 to rebuild them. The initial cost (maybe $12 for the tank and $15 for the coils) may be higher than buying a pack of 5 cheap plastic clearos, but in the long run you'll get a better vape and it will cost pennies a day.
