I've been a joye 510 vaper for about a year and now would like to try the eGo but have a few questions. (Sorry I can't seem to find clearly all the answers)

1. Can I use my standard 510 battery wall charger for the eGo or does it need a different charger?

2. Does the eGo use standard 510 attys?

3. Does the more powerful eGo battery kill attys faster than a regular 510 180mAh battery?

4. Does the more powerful battery increase throat hit?

5. Specifically for Amy--can I customize colors in a eGo starter kit?

Thanks in advance!

1. You need a charger to go with the eGo. Using the wrong charger can damage both the charger and battery. I've read where you can use the 510 charger but it takes alot longer but not vice versa. I still wouldn't recommend it. The safest bet is to use the correct charger.

2. Yes

3. No. I've had my original atty that came with my 510 kit for over 2 months now. I also use this atty on my eGo and Riva batteries and it's still going strong. Cleaning is the biggest thing to make them last longer. I vape heavily so they are always being cleaned.

4. The bigger eGo battery does produce more vapor, flavor, and TH (this is my opinion but someone else may tell you differently). TH is also caused by the juice that you use. Some vendors add PGA to juice to give it a good TH.

5. Amy you need to answer this one...LOL

1. I agree, but one clarification on the 510 charger being able to charge the eGo battery. Yes it will take forever but you also need a charging adapter or you will burn one or the other out. It's an inch long doohickey that screws one end into the 510 charger and the other end on the eGo battery (obviously...lol). HC does not currently carry this adapter. Much easier, safer, faster using the eGo mega charger. LABEL THEM eGo and 510, if you have both corded USB chargers at home, because they look exactly the same but they will kill each others batteries. The eGo one puts out 420mah and the 510 one puts out 150mah. It's on the label but they otherwise look identical.

This charger comes with the kit but you'll want to get an extra for backup or in case you need to charge two batts at once.

Joye eGo Mega Powered USB Charger [Joye eGo] - $7.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

2. Yes, but also takes 510 mega attys, eGo Mega XL cylinder attys, and eGo Mega XL cone attys, without needing adapters.

5. She may, if you don't get too creative. :)

The Ego/Riva battery has the same threads as a 510, and another set of threads for the cone or mega atty's/mega carts
they are the same voltage, ego's are 650mha, or more but won't hurt your atty's, USE THE PROPER CHARGER
the longer lasting batts will let you take longer hits and the cone, I think, adds to the quality of vaping
Some say it's ok to use low resistance (LR) atty's on ego type batts, but that decreases their life
as far as decorating goes, get her some stickers, model paint, glitter, whatever it takes to keep her happy :)

Which size battery did you get? Did you get some mega XL cylinder or cone atomizers? You should, to get the full "Joy(e)" from you new gear! :p In regular and low resistance.

I got the regular 650 battery. I'm on a pretty tight budget and was basically just looking for a longer lasting battery. My old 510 batteries are getting to the point that I only get decent "hits" for the first few drags. From what i've read about the eGo they not only obviously hold a charge for much longer, but hold the voltage high until it's time to recharge. Also, I'm pretty much strictly a dripper, so I didn't see a big need for anything but a standard atty, but maybe I'm missing something.

is there any advantage to a mega XL atomizer for dripping?
