i see they are 8 dollars at the one place , but i am a bit taped for cash .

any ideas ?

i realize i can just use a standard 420 mah charger but with three of these batterys i would like ot have a proper or what was shipped with the battery 800 mah charger . i did my best to look around but pretty much came up with that one for 8 and then i saw one on ebay that was 5 with a lot of shipping so ....

i was under the impression that the 420mAh ego charger was the fastest. guess some progression has been made since ive last checked. glad to see that.

anyway, you can get a 420 mAh ego charger for a buck and change from fasttech. of course thats more of a long term goal than one to help you now. if it were me, id grab that $8 800mAh charger then scoop a handful of the 420mAh ones.

i like this one
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1712901

and this one
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1999100

the latter is slightly more well-made but they both work flawlessly for my fiancee's high capacity egos.

the benefit of slower charging is that your battery cell's overall lifespan improves compared to faster charging.

Kemosabe, I believe the OP needs the wall plug also, since the 800 mAh unit is NOT a simple usb plug/wire. The usb port on a computer can only supply a maximum of 500 mAh of current.

For the price of a couple of packs of cigarettes (1 day in my smoking past life) the chargers are cheap.

USB 3.0 carries up to 2A. Can be supplied from a computer or a USB 3.0 hub. Although our batteries are only rated for 1/2 C charge rate which is half of the amp hour of the battery. (i.e., 2500mah battery = 1.25a charge rate)
Anything faster is considered a speed charge and the quality of the charge goes down and the risk of damage goes up. Going beyond it's max charge rate causes heat to rise to dangerous levels.

i suppose i should have mentioned i do not use computer usb ports to charge my batterys . i was fortunate enough to pick up a usb hub from goodwill which is using a 3 amp ps , now i am not sure what the output is as i am not willing to set up my meter just for something stupid like this , but i seem to remember reading these units can produce 1 amp on the output . i also have a few usb style wall warts that are rated up to one amp is the highest one i have right now .

i suppose i also should have mentioned that i am disabled , i have zero income , i have spent about 500 dollars on vape equipment since january, indluding diy juice so , yeah eight bux for a charger that is worth one dollar PLUS paying for shipping is absolutely out of the $%&-$#&%^-#$%^ question right now .

i am thinking i will be building some "super charger" style units soon as i often blindly tinker , hack and modify electronic devices . its what i do . before anyone becomes concerned , i would be utilizing a fuse when i design this hack .... i was merely trying to avoid having to build something as my disability has rendered it extremely difficult to work and when i do i am in a lot of pain for a few days after that , and i have a huge list of other projects on the burner right now .

i had not purchased a pack of smokes in many years . i was rolling my own , with a crank machine , using "pipe cut" tobaco , for the price of about 1 dollar a pack .

i also put in a product request at FT , but , ... i would sriously be shocked if .... .

thanks for the replys , have a great vape !

You probably know this already, but just in case, you need to stay with the proper Li-ion charge setup which means at the very least the charger has to do the first half of the normal constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) charge cycle and then shut itself off. Li-ion batts do not take overcharge safely. Here's some info on it.

7/11 has cheap USB chargers.

USB3 provides up to 900mah max, 800mah constant.

PC USB hubs with external power supply, will provide far more amperage then a USB port on a PC/Laptop. Some USB hubs will only give you 800mah per USB3 port, some will give you 1.5A or more.

PC/ Laptop USB2 is 500 mah and USB3 is 800mah.

You can also get a USB wall charger that will give you 2.1A per port. http://richardsolo.com/iphone-usb-wall-charger.aspx#.VSdxH_nF-ik
