I have not heard great things about the T-Rex.
The least expensive (good quality) kit is the Riva-510: $30 from
Liberty-Flights (the "Lite Bundle," although there is nothing "lite" about this 750 mAh 3.7V two-battery/two-atomizer kit). [NOTE: Click the "20% Discount" icon in the upper left of the screen first, to see that price.] The Riva is compatible with all 510 atomizers and cartomizers and with
most eGo-specific attys, cartos, and accessories. For higher mAh, I have been enjoying my 1100 mAh 3.7V KGO: $45 from
Hoosier E-Cig Supply or $40 from
BreezEsmokes (black only).
But there is at least one eGo-specific accessory that will
not work on the Riva (or on the KGO or other non-Joye fat batts): Artisan
vaping's brand new
Ego Booster, being sold for $60 by Happy Vaper. It turns the Joye eGo into a variable voltage
device. If your reaction is
Wow! I must have this! – then spend the extra dollars to get the classic: the 3.2V Joye eGo.
Liberty-Flights sells the original 650 mAh version for $40 (the "Standard Bundle").
If you are unmoved by VV (or if that $60 price tag is off-putting), the Riva is the cost-effective choice.
All of these models work very well with cartomizers ... but be aware that they are
510-compatible,
not KR808D-1-compatible ... although you
can use your Kr8 cartos on them with an inexpensive 510-to-808/901 adapter (e.g., $1 from
Good Prophets).
If you would like a high mAh
Kr8-compatible fat batt (with an excellent
automatic battery), consider the 1300 mAh 3.7V Echo: $60 from either
Cool Vapes (in chrome) or
Cropduster901 (in chrome, stainless, or black). It comes with its own high-capacity cartomizers, but works equally well with Kr8 cartos.
