I got mine - the "TF-1" supposedly variable, and have a 'ticket' started as it came only with the "ego-t" metal head. Upon close inspection, even though all the other info and pictures on that page points to including a vv head as well,

http://www.trueman-ecig.com/Trueman-TF1-battery-900mah-9-color.html

"TF1 battery with main feature,ego-t metal part & variable voltage metal part for your choose"

...in the actual 'contents' it shows only the eGo-t 'metal head'. But the other head isn't even available on the site - or wasn't the last I looked. So we'll see.

That said - this batt is quite nice. The removeable head is well done, the threading is nice - a friend had a problem with the head loosening with the RS - and a the bottom is an improvement over the RS - which I mentioned eariler. recharges on a regular eGo charger or remove the batt and put in on a non-proprietary charger....

Kent, would I have to use IMRs with this, or can I use AW ICR Protecteds?

Also, is this different than the one Big Ben posted here:

"Safety- the 14500 battery inside can be took out for being charged. It has battery-reverse protection, short-circuit protection, over-charge, over-discharge protection." And the same with the original RS - circuits inside the batt.

I have the oem batt shown (purple one) in the TF-1 and a AW IMR (red 600mAh) in the RS - mine, since I only got the casing kit. The whole RS kit comes with various batts. Glam got one with an AW black and white IC batt - but they're showing the same purple and blue batt on the RS page. Don't think it matters. For one thing, the bottom would easily blow off in case of a problem - held on by just a 'bump' and a hole - secure enough to use though...

Love the Chinglish!

Really.... and that may be the 'problem' even though they state 'ego-t metal part & vv metal part, but the 'your choose' may mean 'as an additional option' - even though that option doesn't exist... yet  I'm really ok with it - hopefully they're not reading this. lol, but I ask them rather kindly what the deal was. And pointed out how that whole page with the pictures of the vv and the wording of this & that, etc. might lead one to believe that they're getting both parts. I stated in a way that 'perhaps' it was a mistake in packing or that the other part was 'backordered' . ;) Seems better than accusing them of ripping you off - although that may come later. Just kidding.... I've gotten worse results over the past four years. At least the batt works rather well as is.

So Kent, how do you *suggest* ordering this?

What instructions to write?

I'm going to order a few

You might wait to see the results of my 'ticket'. I'm guessing they don't have the vv heads yet and that they will be sold separately. Getting what I got isn't a bad deal really. And again, they appear well made and I've been using mine without a problem since I got it. I prefer Joyes (if you haven't noticed) and only got the RS and the TF-1 for 'prepper' type reasons - in the unlikely case where proprietary batteries are not available - have high taxes or regulations. And I don't care for the larger mods - even though I have a reo mini and a joye eGo-t mod... but sold all the rest (except for one that will be going on sale shortly - the ismoka igo). With the TF-1 I have the same look/feel/size for my tabac bcc's that I have with the eGos.

You might email them before hand and ask them about it - does the vv head come with this product as shown on your site? :) .... and see what they say. Still, for the price, I think it's worth it but for me, only for those circumstances I list above. I'll likely put the two I have in 'storage'. I prefer all the features of the Joye eGo-c - the 2 modes, the changing led according to charge left in the regulated mode and the fact that the Joye eGos still have the best short and charge protection for that size batt than any other - plus - for me, they die of old age rather than break apart or have stuck buttons or the button head comes off. I've never had any of that happen with a Joye batt.

Ok... this was my mistake, it appears.... the link for the TF-1 With the VV is here:

Trueman TF1 battery 900mah 9 color with variable voltage metal part

It may have been there when I ordered and I missed it. I may reorder this one. Wish they sold the vv head separately.. or as I thought, part of a set. :)

Good communications on their part, but I still think they should take down the references to the vv head on the eGo-t head page or at least make it clear that there's an alternative. Suss was right, I suspect the 'your choose' meant - another option available....

Ego-RV--Selectable voltage function-Correct me if I'm wrong please, but I got the similar Smoketech one quite awhile back thinking I'd like to try the 4.2.

Someone told me that this type of battery wouldn't have a booster/regulator in it to keep it at 4.2 when selected. Mine got trashed before I could test it out well in that way.

I'm not sure. It would seem that it would have to or it would need recharge really quickly lol. Even the 3.2 and the 3.7v would need some sort of regulation. Frankly, the Joye eG0-c upgrade is the better bet and the Twist if you need more than that.

I had the mini PT with the low variables 3-4.2V and it did work as intended. I could tell the difference, but only because I know my flavors so well at this point. With that there was a regulator since it was taking a bigger voltage and downgrading it. No batt....

It was there when you ordered it. I don't know when it changed, but it did change.

Ben, I take it that you meant it 'wasn't' there when I ordered it... by the context of what follows. I'm not sure if it was or wasn't but the wording in the TF-1 page should be changed. I suggested changes in responding to my ticket. Also pointed out that 'your choose' doesn't translate well to English ;-) And suggested a change for that as well. These guys are really good at customer service, just not with English. "Thomas" sends a picture of your order to you with the invoice - however, all I saw were two white boxes.... and the ego suction cups I ordered. lol....

Again, I may get the vv version but this was a prepper buy for non-proprietary eGo size. I already have the RS but the TF-1 is better because of the threading for the button head, plus the bottom piece was a bit better than the RS. If anyone recalls I had to use the shorter red AW's in the RS because the longer ones were popping the bottom off. These came with longer batts and no problem there.
