Hey everyone, my name's Rob, semi-new to the vaping world but learning more by the day. I'm currently using Blu Cigs, the first and only e-cigarette that I've ever tried. I love it, but it sounds to me like there is a lot of other options and the Blu company carts are too expensive anyways.

After checking out some links and recommendations I've decided that I want to get a VV eGo Spinner to switch for my everyday vaping, but I dont know what tank I should get for it. It looks like for the eGo Spinners I would be best to use a 2.5ohm carto. After researching the different kinds of cartos (and remember I'm still new at this so I may have some information that's incorrect) I really like the Liquinator and it seems to be very popular on here. Only problem is that the Boge cartos that go in the Liquinator are only available in 2.0 and 3.0ohm resistance. Will this be a problem in finding the perfect level of voltage? or are there other cartos/tanks that I should consider first?? Any help would be greatly appreciated for this noob. Thanks in advance everyone!

Hi'ya Rob....
Ok, here is the breakdown of a spinner...its VV or Variable Voltage meaning that you can change the voltage to your tastes or atomizer.
2.0 Ohm will allow the widest ranges of Wattage or heat avalible to you...sticking around this will do well.
Speaking of heat and wattage..ect. Remember back in science class when they discussed phase change or rather a substance going from one phase of matter to another (I.E. Solid to liquid to gas). Well each one of these happens at a specific tempeature, E-Liquid is the same. Too high of a heat and you'll atomize the liquid but at the cost of burning the taste (Superheated). The typically agreed upon number is 6.0 watts of heat...easy way to caculate this is Voltage times Voltage divided by Ohms.
Example: 3.9 x 3.9= 15.21/2.5= 6.084 Watts of heat.
Many factors are to play in the "Purfect Vape" so you'll need to play with your settings obviously, but you'll find one that suits you well.
Short answer: Yes, 2.5 ohm atomizer will do well, eGo Spinner is a good choice.

Hope this helps...:)

Ok thanks! This all makes sense to me, but I was more looking for information on what some good cartos/tanks would be for the eGo Spinner. It looks like from what you are saying that 2.0 ohms wont have too weak of a range for the Spinner, in that case, I will most likely get the Liquinator tank, as it has great reviews and holds a lot of smoke juice for a 510. But my question is if there is another type of carto/tank design or a different brand that would be better suited or is this a pretty good match for the eGo Spinner? Thanks again for your help man!

Search for Vision Mini Novas (make sure they're made by Vision). Or Kanger T2s or T3s.

Easy to use, and have replaceable heads with varying resistances so you can get pretty close to what you want. And all 3 will have a good form factor with an eGo Spinner too.

If you want a big honking tank, the Vision Vivi Nova (Mini Nova's big brother) is pretty good, but it'll look a bit "knobby" on a Spinner, if form is important to you.

Edited to add: and if you want to go a cartotank route, go for it. Get yourself a refilling tool (most sites sell them anymore) as it will make your life much easier, and spare your o-rings some possible (eventual?) damage.

I just burned a 2.3 ohm boge at 4.5 volts on my Provari. I always use 3.0 ohm ones and just had this left over from a long time ago. I have never burned my 3.0 ohm ones. I would use the 3 ohm boges just to be safe and have the ability to turn it up all the way on purpose or even by accident. Also the Vivi Nova's don't do well with higher voltage because they burn as well. If you google boge carto tank you can find one for around ten bucks. That will give you a cheap shot at trying carto tanks out without breaking the bank. Just my :2c:

Don't worry, Dana. I did the same thing on my Provari (with a freshly loaded carto too). But pushing 9 watts might be too much for them? /shrug

Lesson learned. I start off lower and work my way up with cartos now. :) Do I start low with dripping atties? Nope: warp speed, Mr. Sulu!

iBorn, unless you can test it, you're never really sure what your true resistance is anyway. I've had "2.4ohm" atomizers actually meter out at 3.0, and "3.0 ohm" atties meter out at 2.7. so if you're not 100% sure about your resistance, just start it off at 3.7 volts and bump it up a little at a time until you hit the sweet spot you like. Over time, you'll get a feel for it.

If you eventually work your way up to a more advanced APV, most of them can read your resistance for you, and you can fine tune your vape a bit more. for now, don't sweat it and just go by taste. Start low, and build slowly.
