Is it recommended to not use dark juices in a tank system at all? Or do you just have to clean it more? I've just received some 30ml juices from a vendor and one of the flavors is very dark and I've heard it can gum up tank systems. I haven't cleaned my atty at all yet but I think I will try the soak in boiled water method first when I do. It seems the easiest to do. Unless someone has a simple alternative.

I have better luck with mine with lighter colored, thinner liquids. When I first got my egoTs I bought 100% vg thick dark coffee juice and could not get it to wick to save my soul. After doing a great deal of reading on here, because these people are the "bomb" I learned the error of my ways and switched to at least 50/50 pg vg and try to use the lighter colors in those. I tend to use the dark thick stuff in carts or cartos or I drip it into an atty or carto. I still don't get much flavor or vapor from the tanks and am scanning the threads for resolution, but may have to accept the fact that it will never be as strong a taste in the tanks as it is with other methods. I wish you luck and will be reading your resonses for myself as well.

I'd think frequent cleaning is in order, and you might have to tweak the wick for thicker juices.

I've been spoiled, as I was running unflavored PG in the "B" tank system for four months on the same atty with nothing more than a water rinse every two or three weeks.
But I found I was having a reaction to the pure PG, so I switched to a VG based juice (cut with a little water), which wicked okay, but the atty gummed up and burned out.

So it looks like I might have to get a couple more "T" attys, until they release the "B" size eGo C atty cones.

With thicker juices, the attys don't seem to last as long.
