Hi All,

I've been vaping with an ego - t (type A) atty for going on 3 weeks now on a daily basis. Yesterday I noticed that when I pressed the button to start vaping.. the atty seem to heat up more. In the past I hadn't noticed that the atty was getting hot to touch. Could this be that the atty is losing it's ability to create "vapor"? It did seem to take more of a pull to get the same hit I had been getting.

I switched to my 2nd atty from my starter kit and the vapor has gotten back to what I'm used to again.

If the first atty is going "out" so to speak.. is there something I need to do to clean it? If so how do I clean it and with what?

First of all, do you blow out the juice from the atty on a regular basis? At least once a day, more if you vape a lot? Just place the atty without the tank up to your mouth and blow hard and long, with a paper towel on the other end to catch the juice that comes out. I do this a few times until no more juice comes out. It will need to be reprimed after you do this, with a few drops of juice dropped straight into the atty chamber.

For deeper cleaning, which it sounds like you are needing now, you can use many things- boiling water, vinegar, vinegar and baking soda, pga (strong vodka or other clear liquor). I have some burnt attys that none of these have worked for and my next step is to try peroxide. There is also a video on youtube about taking one apart to clean.

That scared me a bit at first, but I gave it a try when I got a backup in and had nothing to lose by taking it apart. ;)

Thank you Tide for your quick answer. However, the post disappeared on me and I didn't rediscover it till today. Still on a learning curve it seems with posting and reading feedback. LoL

I was amazed on how much liquid came out of atty when I blew it out and after repriming it the atty is working again. I've been waiting on an order to arrive before I take the chance on taking a atty apart.

I know what you mean about losing posts. Things move fast around here! The easiest way for me to find them is if you click on "my profile" at the very top of the page, there is a link on the left side of the page for posts you started and posts you have replied to.

I didn't take mine apart until I had something else to use in case I messed it up also. I am NOT mechanically inclined. ;) Glad that did the trick for you.
