I've been vaping for now going on three weeks, I love, can't stand the smell of analog cigs. My first kit I ordered was the ego with 510 atty, and an extra ego-t atty. At first the ego-t was a dream come true, loved it in every sense, but just this past week i've seen some issues with mine and have read on ECF that most people are having the same issues.

Since yesterday i have been using the 510 atty that came with the original kit, and i have seen that the vapor production, and the TH is way better with the 510.

Just wanted to find out from everyone what is their choice of atty.

Personally I am loving the 510 over the ego-t.

It's clear that a reg 510 LR-510 HV-510 All blow away these tank Atty's as of now, theres no comparison in my opinion. I have and used the Ego -T and there LR-T and they suck in my opinion, not even close to as good as a regular Atty, I run LR,REG & HV-510's on my bottom feeder Mods and also drip in them and the flavor is soooooo much better than those plastic tasting tanks, there almost gross in my opinion and I swear some of my liquids taste like the plastic is leaching into certain liquids I use, I wont use them anymore, unless they come out with a stainless steel tank to fill and put in the Atty, this would make them way better, coast a bit more but who cares, would also be nice to see a 3ml tank to fill instead on 1ml

I've tried most all the 510 variants including the mega cylinder and cone and the the LR attys. The LR does have the edge in taste and vapor, but not by much. An Ego tank that is working properly does a great job of producing the taste and vapor in my juices and is currently my top choice.

The tank is not without its shortcomings. The wick can shift as you pull the tank on and off during filling. You have to pull the piercing tube plate off periodically and clean and re-position the wick. That's a good time to wash the atty and do a dry burn while you can directly view the coil.

Some juice mixes will cause flooding or contamination more than others. You need to use clearer juices to extend the life between cleanings. Dark sugary juices will burn on the coil, contaminate the wick and produce a hard draw. 100% pg will eventually give you juice in the mouth through the cart. Once you find the mix (70pg/30vg for me) you will be happy with the tank.

The tank is easy to fill and doesn't require messing with polyfill or blue foam. You can fill and cap extra carts in a jiffy while you are filling one tank. The carts are translucent and let you see the juice level.

Until there's a better method, I'll stick with the tank. I also keep a drip tip 306 around for a quick change of juice when I want to vape something else in between.

Hi badnam,

I've used them both. The 510 atty/carts for quite a number of months before getting into a bottom feeder that worked well for me. The bottom feeder, naturally, on a 510 atty. Preferably LR.

When on the go, driving, bar/pool and lunch breaks, I prefer to take the eGo. It is light and unobtrusive. I must say though that I have not gone back to carts since getting the -T. It works for me albeit having less TH and vapor production than atty/cart. For the convenience of the tank, it is worth the trade off. When I get home, or back to my desk at work it's all about a feeder.

The 510 is a work horse, I sometimes use it to heat up a can of beans for dinner when I am in a hurry. The T is an R&D engineer's dream and/or nightmare.

The tank can be finicky at at times. Once you get the wick set at the right height and keep it cleaned, it's right up there with a LR 510, IMO, and a lot more in terms of capacity. Mine worked fine for about a month and then developed a really tight draw. I popped off the piercing tube plate, cleaned it, and set the wick height and it returned to new performance.

The tank is the only thing I have any experience with, I have learned to make it work fairly consistently ( although I do not remove the plate ) it is a little fiddly for me, but I have been using the same atomizer for nearly a month now ( using it longer than my sig says, that started when I totally quit cigarettes ). I do have spare atomizers but have not broken into them yet, I am using the original that came with my kit and my wife is using the second unit, hers is working well also.

but... and this is a big BUT

I have never used anything else... yet.

I may pick up some 510 LR cartomizers sometime just to see what the hub-bub is about. Or would I do better with an atomizer and cartridge?

DaveP,
How do you get any flavor out of this system? I have tried several liquids all without any taste other than maybe terrible.
My son swears this is the best thing since sliced bread, but I think it is still a work in progress & as long as they can sell all they can make they won't change a thing.
The tank is convenient, but it just doesn't work for me.
Haven't taken the piercing plate out yet as I have only had this for 4 days now, but it may go on the shelf of failed attempts today.
I have used the KR808 system since I started, & all thought it won't handle thick liquid, it seems to work the best.
The CE2 type carotmizers are a PITA to work with, but give the most vapor & flavor IMHO.
Hope the tank goes to completion of development to a good system because I like the idea, but it really needs work.
I also use a 510 & 4081 attys on my KR808 batteries to drip my 100% VG juice as that is the only thing that will handle the thickness.
Yup I have tried a lot of thing looking for the best carry around system.
Remember this is all IMHO only.
P.S. This is also a juice eater much like dripping.
