ego-T battery?

Was looking at Ego-T's on the net today. Was wondering what the diff is with these new batteries they are talking about... something about them turning on and off and some vendors are selling them with the old batts and some aren't, etc...

I only have a couple of KR808's so dumb it down for me here people. ;-)

If it is one of the new eGo T batts, you can turn it off by pushing the button 5 times in succession. Do it again to turn it back on. I have 5 of the 1000 mAh version and it is a nice feature

They last a long time after charging too. Mine usually lasts me all day, as you will not find me without my eGo in hand. I love how you can turn the battery off. It's a great feature to have if you carry your pv in your pocket.

So the purpose is to shut it off to prevent accidental firing. It doesn't prevent slow drain while not in use.

I don't think that is an issue. I've had eGo batts sit for 3 months after being charged that retain pretty much a full charge.

The only problem I can see with the T batteries is should it become inoperable in the off position for some reason, this could lead to a dud. My original eGo batteries require replacement after nearly a year. I went with the 900mAh because I don't trust the locking feature. Being a male (don't use a purse) it goes in my shirt pocket or pant pockets and I never had an accidental firing, so the 5 click thingy is not necessary for me.
