Hi everyone! I've been vaping since January and switched over from a 510 to an Ego-t about a month or two ago. I've really been enjoying it, but today I cracked open a brand new atomizer and it is burning the heck out of my throat! I'm using the same juice as I was with my previous atomizer, so I know it's not a pg/vg issue. I'm getting plenty of vapor. I just don't know what to do! Any suggestions?

Do you taste a burnt flavor with this new atomizer? Sometimes it helps to take a couple of primer puffs in order for it to wick properly as well. Try that out first and let it site for a few minutes to let it soak into the mesh and other material. If that doesn't work than adjust the wick.

Other times when you push a tank into a new atomizer than it moves the wick from it's original spot. Which will prevent the e-liquid from getting to the coil. Which will produce a burnt taste and will probably burn your throat. Here's a video on how to adjust the wick. This helped me when I was starting out:

No problem. I found that taking the metal plate off made it a LOT easier to adjust the wick. I use a hemostat and just grip both sides firmly, then pull. It pops right out. That's going to be helpful in case you ever want to clean your atomizer.

If your not willing to do that then a simple paper clip works great to lower the wick. Just be careful not to use to much pressure and lower the wick to much.

Glad everything worked out for you. Just doing something small like adjusting the wick really makes a world of difference. If you have a little bit of a leaking issue later on. Do the opposite and the problem is solved. There's a good chance that the wick is to far down the metal spike. Which allows to much liquid into the area where the coil is located. Thus, producing a leaking issue. Taking the plate off makes this process a hell of a lot easier. You just need a hemostat that can be bought dirt cheap from places like Walgreens:
