eGo-T Burnt? Try this!

Hey guys so after battling the burnt taste of my eGo-T atomizer for a week now I have finally found a solution! I realized the draw was wayyy too tight so i popped off the cap of the tank cartridge and looked inside. There is a blocker between the mouthpiece tip and tank. If you take that out you get a much better draw, less tight and this in effect lets juice get to wick much easier!

JUST POP THAT SUCKA OUT WITH A PAPERCLIP/ NEEDLE
SUPER EASY MOD! GREAT RESULTS! NO BURNT TASTE YET!

edit: i also took the tip off for an even better drag!

I am new to vaping and was real close to buying the ego-t system a couple of weeks ago . Glad I didn't after hearing the personal experiences on this forum. I'm very happy with my ego mega atomizers and when I get lazy, boge cartomizers. Dripping and cartridges were too much maintenance for me and I definately dont need to be inhaling plastic. Of coarse i have had a learning curve with the mega atty due to it's frequent flooding and drying but once I learned how and when to tilt it, those problems went away.

thank you for the info.

Ya this is an old trick, they still suck, people get so excited about buying these dam things then when they taste how they vape its like I heard mine hit the back of the trash can a month or two ago when they came out, yuck, vaping plastic is not any good

Pixiedust you are 100% correct on the sucks part.
Have tired everything I can think of & a few things on the forums to no avail.
Guess I will go backk to the CE2's & my 808 batteries.
My son thinks the tanks are the best for him & he will probably inherit the atty's & tanks.
Just don't like filling & cleaning the CE2's as they are a PITA.
But the flavor & vapor are great.

Having used a 510-T for a couple of days, I can say it's probably a better alternative to the ego-T (which I admittedly haven't used). It hasn't leaked, there have been no dry hits, and the draw is about the same as a 510 with an old style filler cart.

Before this, I'd been using 510 atties on a 3.7v AA box mod with all PG liquid . . . really simple setup. I used 901 whistle-tip carts because they held a good deal more, and with the straw mod they vaped better . . . but there were still obviously the usual problems. I attempted dripping, but it was frustratingly impractical for driving or traveling.

The 510-T doesn't have any filler-taste to it. Some people have mentioned a "plastic" taste, but I haven't experienced that. My only complaint is that the cart is very small and I blow through a full one in about 45 minutes to an hour of moderate use. I did see a few sites are selling 510-T XL tanks (NOT made by Joye). I'm considering trying one out to see if there's a longevity boost. Also, the cart/tank has a lot of trapped condensation inside . . . it hasn't presented any problems and it doesn't leak out, but it's curious none the less.

Best I can say is I'm happy with it and it seems to be a better implementation of the design than the eGo-T. YMMV.

I only get a burnt taste on my inferno-T when the e-liquid in the tank is more than a day old or less than 1/8 empty (note: I keep my e-liquid in the fridge, not sure if this makes a difference?). My only problem with it is that the 8mg strength e-liquid I use is un-vapeable in the tank... it makes me cough and sets off my gag reflex. I have to add 0mg strength e-liquid to the tank for me to be able to vape. I don't understand why.... I'll try this mod and see if it helps.

I've pulled the baffles out of my ego-t tanks....draw is a little easier and possibly a bit more flavor, but I don't think it's changing wick speed at all. I must be in the minority that feels they don't suck. There is no comparison with the flavor from dripping or a CE2, but there is still flavor and plenty of vapor. They have been trouble-free for me for almost two months now, and for something to carry in my pocket at work, I haven't found a better solution. I find them to be durable, reliable and convienent for me, and when I get home I fire up a clearomizer (with scotch tape around it to slow down leaking/cracking). Out and about I just can't be bothered, I need something fast and simple that I can trust.

Don't know about the burning taste and plastic taste people mention with the ego-t, it hasn't happened to me....if that became a chronic problem, I'd probably have to go back to cartos.

Guhru same here. I will get a burning taste if I overfill the tank and its having problems wicking. You need to leave some airspace in there and take a few priming pulls when you switch tanks. I don't hit the button until I see bubbles rising after a tank change. The eGo-t has a small learning curve but one you figure it out, it works perfectly.

So I just experienced this horrible burnt taste I have been hearing about. At least I think it is the same one. The problem is that it's not just the 1 atty :( I tried switching tanks and 2 different attys but I can not figure this out yet. I had this happen earlier today and after blowing out my LR atty, it was fine but now it is happening again. I have blown it out a few times and even tried priming it with a couple drops like some people say but to no avail. Thankfully my mother has a 510-t that I can use while I figure this out.

I used this tread (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...implecjs-ego-t-wick-mod.html?referrerid=57137) to clean the wick in my atty, that should do the trick.
