Ego-T & Ce5 Airflow problem - HELP!

I have had my Ego-T since August. Last month I bought a Ce4 clearomizer and it quit on me two weeks later - about 4 hours after I bought a 2nd one. I didn't use the new one and was able - today - to exchange it for a Ce5 that lets you replace the insides if it "craps" out on you. After I finished the cart that I was already using, I got out the new one, attached it to the battery, filled it up, turned it on, and tried to use it... Here's where the problem is... There isn't any airflow. If I take it off of the battery to check airflow through the Ce5, it flows the way it should when it's attached to the battery. I can't figure out what could be blocking the airflow. I sent a text to the guy I get my equipment from and he said it could be clogged, but he hasn't had any problems with these working with Ego-T batteries before. Help, please!! Any ideas??

That's a problem and makes me wonder if you got a defective one. I was going to suggest a quick and easy fix, but this may not work for you if you just have a bum clearo. Can't hurt to try it.

Watching it is better than my trying to explain it, so here you go:

How to fix a couple issues with the Vision Stardust eGo Cartomizer (CE4) - YouTube

Yes, it's for a CE4, not CE5, but the idea is the same.

Can you draw through it while it's attached when not trying to fire your battery?

ETA: Any chance your shop can just replace it for you?

Your clearo should have a air channel cut across the center 510 connection, and notches along the bottom of the ego skirt.
Your battery should have notches cut in the top of the 510 connection. If any of those missing you will have a air flow problem. Have you tried a different clearo on your battery, or tried your clearo on a different battery? That would help you isolate the problem.

You may need a 510 to ego adapter.

or a 510 to 510 extender.

The batteries are the only 2 I have had since August and they work fine with the attys that came with it as well as the Ce4 that I had... This Ce5 is the first one I've had this sort of problem with and it doesn't matter about pressing the button or not... if I am inhaling to check airflow without the battery attached, the airflow completely stops the moment I BEGIN to screw the battery into place. This happens with either battery. As far as air channels, they are all accounted for.
