OK I ordered these for my Vision v3 ce5 clearomizer but it turns out the new ones are longer on the bottom. The old heads look more like this. It doesn't allow airflow against that post you screw it on to. Maybe I can drill a tiny hole into it for air or cut a notch at the bottom?

have you figured this one out? i just got a couple and am running into the same issue! help please!???

Actually what you are getting is No Contact to power the coil.
The center pin is to short.
Notice the nice V shape of the other heads Pin

Sadly there are at least 6 different heads that fit various manufacturers ce5 design. You need to identify the exact correct ce5. Have you tried the ce5 supplier(vender)?

You could also try pulling that center post out of an old head and Install it in the new heads. You just need to make sure that you don't push the resistance wire into the head when you do it. I am not totally sure it would work but it's worth a shot in my opinion.

i do not know how to do this! :( i am nervous to try but if i do not get it working it wont hurt to try huh? thanks!

STOP!

Just read WORKS UNTIL screw onto Battery.

Do NOT Grind on things you are not certain of.

If the tank is Open when off the Battery, as in you can draw through it comfortably. ASK WHY
Now, Look at the Base of the ce5. The part that actually screws into the battery.
Is the center pin on the BASE sticking out excessively?
Is The ce5 Difficult to start threading onto the battery?
Do you have to put downward force to screw the ce5 down?

Did You place both heads side by side to compare TOTAL HEIGHT?
With the Heads 2 things are critical.
1) correct Height
2) Correct center pin for - power contact
a) Pin to tall Head will not screw on flush or will push center contact down battery tube
b) Ping to short - No contact and no power to coil

*** vjdossy it seems you have thoroughly hijacked k9qlq's thread.
Hopefully we can figure this out in a way that will also assist the original Poster.

I am glad people are posting on my thread
As is for my problem the bottom of the coil needed a notch where is connects to the center post inside the CE5. The original had a notch.
