I do the following (seems to work):

Drop in an old prescription bottle full of ISO alcohol or Vodka (probably should remove the old pills first)
Place cap on bottle
Shake
Let it soak for ten minutes in the alcohol
Skake
Rinse with hot water
Point a blow dryer at it for a few minutes
Couple dry burns
Prime the atty with a drop or two (like dripping)
Insert (filled) cart and enjoy

I had one atty that tasted better AFTER I cleaned it versus when I first received it.

Great idea with the pill bottle - I will try this in the morning - thanks! I love the tank so hopefully I will have better flavor after cleaning then.

Any ideas on a video to perform full cleaning? How often - I have had mine for a week. I however feel like the flavor has been decreased from the moment I started using the T

Here's what I do that works for me. Remove the tank and tail pipe the atty until no flavor then dry burn - hold button for 5-6 seconds release - repeat - I blow into the atty chamber to help this process. 6 times is about enough to where you're not getting much vape/smoke. Then place it in a 151 Vodka soak for 20 minutes. (if you use isopropyl you'll have to rinse it since isopropyl will leave a film - I don't recommend it). The 151 dries quickly - no need for water/hair dryer - blow it out from the batt end and insert full tank and vape. Do it whenever you get a slightly burnt taste - for me that's about week - wk 1/2 of vaping. ymmv depending on use. I have 4 going so if you're only using one then it will be sooner. On a few occasions I've notice some darker ejuice in the tank than normal (as if it were burnt) - I open the cap and clean that out - again with the 151 vodka - dump out - fill with ejuice, etc. etc.

Fruit and berry flavors sometimes need less wattage for full flavor and this is still a 510 atty so one might not get as full a flavor with those flavors - however, the stronger flavors are enhanced by more wattage - ymmv, etc.

I was excited about the tank too, but I found it very underwhelming. It seems to be great at the very end of the tank....right when its about to run out of juice. I've tried filling it to the very top, filling it half way, etc. I don't get the flavor I want until it is nearly empty.

I prefer my old cartomizers.

That's exactly how my experience has been. I really want to love this tank, but the flavor isn't good. I can't even taste the juice. I've tried cleanings, but they didn't work.

I do not like the idea of IPA or other cleaning solutions..so this is what I have done. It doesn't make it right, just my opinion.

From another post:I was reluctant to try cuzzcon's method; I really didn't like the idea of using a chemical (IPA) in something that i would inhale in my lungs--he does put a disclaimer in the video.

I did try his method and let the atty dry for 48hrs, but still got that chemical taste even after quite a few draws. So I stopped and re-cleaned the atty along with a couple other atties by using distilled water. I brought the distilled water up to boil, turned off burner, and used a turkey baster to flush all the atties out; and then soaked them in the heated distilled water for 15 minutes and blew out. I let them dry for 24 hours and loaded them up with ejuice and vaped away.

This method worked very well for me and it will be my choice of cleaning eGo-T atties and atties in general from here on out.

p.s. If you want to get the full performance,taste/vapor/th, out of the ego tank atties, you will need a true 3.7v or higher pv. Although, they do have a lr ego tank attie on the way.

cheers,

Please let us know how it goes!

I have to say it seems to have worked. I tried two of my fruit flavors that I like the most. Before cleaning they tasted the same.....after cleaning I can tell the difference in the flavors. I also took a suppliers advice and put one drop of Vodka in the tank before adding the juice to "thin" it a little.

I am so glad.....thanks rtfm.....now I am glad I ordered a complete kit from Cignot:) :toast:

Not sure i want to put out more money buying a 3.7 but can you give me an idea of a good but inexpensive one? Or maybe I should wait for the LR version of the Ego Tank atty. Wonder when that will come out.

Glad it worked out for you, with a little cleaning(work) these ego-t's seem to perform. As mentioned above everybody has a system for cleaning and mine will probably very with time.

I just did a dry burn on one of my new ones today. I did about 8 dry burns. I went in a pitch black room and I could see the coil lighting up through the wick. I was scared to dry burn these at first but after blowing the old fluid out the dry burn process didn't take very long and went very smoothly. I just followed Kent's advise.
