Hi,

Till now I was silent member, since most issues could be solved by reading, lot of reading, BUT, ... (there is always some BUT). I can't find an answer, so here is the question:

I made a mod with ego-T electronics kit, works fine (but) when I try to use it with brand new TrustFire 18350 (1200mAH, not protected) - nothing, no blinks, no flashing led's, no vapour.

I doubt about 4.2V multimeter shows on new batteries, since nominal Vin for ego-T electronics is around 4.2V?

batteries are well charged, I even try 16340 (brand new, protected, charged,...), but Mod won't start.

Mod still works fine on old batteries, I'm walking from plug to plug, always charging two batteries, steaming well, looking for solution.

Few words about mod: DSE601 - Genesis, originaly DSE601 is not Genesis, but we are talking about MOD.

Some help, ideas,...

Thans, BR betasa

I'm glad to see super-members trying to help newcomer.

DSE601 pipe has battery holder for 18350 (two batteries delivered with pipe), own electronics in combination with "air flow sensor" switch.

1. Air flow sensor and atty take a lot of space in inner neck-SS tube, so to get more space I thrown out switch and atty.
2. Original electronics consume to much energy.

Looking solution I found ego-T electronics as winner because 3in1 (as Nescafe):
- 5 click on/off
- manual switch where I needed
- power control.

There is "plastic yellow crystal" on original DSE over the bowl, inside the ring. "crystal" was replaced with circle of carbon fiber (rigid enough to press the switch).

So, everything works nice but power control.

I made not one but two same pipes, as primary and sec. device.

More details could bing some photos, but nothing till I get rights.

Short: Two "ego-T electronics" behave same on new batteries, but works fine with old set of same battery (type, voltage, ...).

Strange.
