As quickly as the eCigs have been evolving, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was the Tesla filter. But because it took so long to get here, it's on the verge of being outdated. This would have frenzied us out last year ... this year it's ho hum. No doubt they put the name Tesla on hold while working on their new and improved version which will then be dubbed the Tesla. That's my theory anyway.

Love the OFF feature! Somehow I missed how to turn it on though. Hold it down? Push 5 times?

You have to push it five times in rythym to a verse of "Camptown Races".

Um... no just hit the button five times in a row.

Well- I've been vaping it exclusively and pretty hardcore. I should have a handle on that in a week.

Sounds good. I like the concept of these tank systems.

It seems that I have come full circle with vaping. I started with 510 atty/carts. Then cartomizers. Then E2 Cartomiers R1 thru R4. Now Mega eGo atty's/ carts.

Since you mentioned it, there isn't really a lot of difference vape wise between these and the eGo Mega system. They are identical in taste and vapor, with the exception that the eGo Megas can have some pretty notable dry spots and the eGo-T starts dryer and gets wetter.

Money wise, It's going to be an individual thing as to whether the tank and vape improvement are worth it.

I’m glad you mentioned that about the taste and vapor being similar to a MEGA eGo atty. Because what is somewhat confusing to me is why use these over a MEGA atty?

I know the big selling point of the E2’s was that there was no filler to burn. That’s good for a Cartomizer. But once the atomizer coil was removed from the juice tank, filling in the juice tank can’t burn anyway. And then, in a funny twist, people started putting PTB filler in the juice area to make an E2 wick better.

The main thing I like about the MEGA atty’s is that they hit consistently. An E2 out of the box might hit a tad better for the first fill but after that, they seem to fall. Some do well with a dry burn, other just never seem to come back to the original performance. Where as a MEGA atty after a clean and dry burn is back to what it was new.

That is the main reason I asked about dry burning these.

Michael, rather than prying the cover off the first time to fill it, could you just put it in the atty and let the atty pierce the hole in the cartridg take the cart back off and fill it?

Edit: Also I want to thank you for all your video's. They have been a big help to me.

Yup that would work. My dense brain didn't think of that. I cannot think of a reason that would be bad.

And you are welcome. It's nice to hear that people have been helped.

Thank you so much for this review, Michael. I have been waiting and waiting for a review in English. I'm pretty new to the vape scene, and so far my one and only e-cig is a standard 510 (which I love) using cartomizers. I've been saying for a couple weeks to my hubby that the only thing that might pull me away from my 510 is the eGo-T. Now that it's out in the USA, I want to wait and see how it holds up over time before I spend the money on one.

Some concerns I have after watching your review (and others in other languages, lol)... Because the tank has a cap that is pierced by the atty, I wonder if over time and many refills, if the cap ever comes off the tank and sticks inside the atty. I could see this happening if folks don't use a syringe and are constantly taking the cap off to refill. I would think this would cause it to get more and more loose until it finally just "stuck" to the atty when pulling out the tank.

Another concern is that although I've seen a few sites that sell the eGo-T now, not a single one of them seems to sell the atomizers or the refillable tanks yet. This is a big red-flag to me, in that I want to know how much "backup" supplies are going to cost *before* I go spending a bunch of money on a starter kit. So, my concern here is availability of replacement parts (from vendors I know and trust) and how much they will be.

Other than these two issues, I'm really excited about the eGo-T, if for nothing else, the ease in refilling. Refilling carts/cartos is my *only* gripe about e-cigs in general.

Anyway, thanks again for another great review! I'll be watching for your next update on the eGo-T after you've had it for awhile.

Hi Jessara,

Thanks I'm happy to help.

Your concerns are valid. I've moved over to the eGo-T and will vape it exclusively until I have a conclusion.

I'm only using two of the supplied cartridges, one of the atomizers, and two batteries. I hope I'm beating the thing up pretty good.

As I said I'm not sold on this yet. But so far it's ok.

Have enjoyed my Riva's with eGo Mega Cartos week after week. Longevity and availability are determining factors for me also, but I'd start with a kit just for the on/off batteries for traveling.

Observing your fantastic 'first-impression' video I saw no mention of battery condition though. Were the all at roughly the same level of charge?

Yea.. they were more or less freshly charged. I think the battery on the 510 atomizer had 30 minutes of vaping on it from the morning.

The eGo-T batteries came with roughly a full charge and only spent 30 minutes on the charger before it went green.

I should have mentioned that in the video.. sorry.

That's exactly what I did with mine. Smaller/sharper filler bottle tips like the TV or Ecopure bottles will fit in the hole nicely.

Yeah I just saw that, $17 + p&h is a lot for an atomizer. I hope the prices come down as this thing gets out and about more. For an atty to cost that much to replace, it better last for awhile, lol. I'm surprised there are no atty cones or tanks for the eGo-T on the ovaleUSA site yet. But since TW is charging slightly less for the eGo-T than it costs on the Ovale site, I'm guessing Ovale wants even more for their atty than TW is charging. Again, I hope as the "novelty" wears off and these become available in more places, the prices will come down a bit.

Well I went to the e-cig store in town here in S.Korea today and tried some of their models on the false premise of sampling their scarilly priced juices (18usd a pop for 10ml of imported from china sugary tasting junk anyone?)

One was definitely a 510 and others were rip off of other models, a huge fat one calld a 'phat boy, stuff liek that, one that were simmilar to egos also.

All I can say is am glad I have my ego -t coz the difference in vape production and draw quality on all of them, even the ego-like one - were s^^^e in comparison even the ego type model with Drip tip they set up for me, which turned ou o be the managers own pv!

Well I'm a newb and my pv and these in-store ones are all I've tried, so my 2 cents is worth way less than Scotty's and Mike's I'm sure.

My leakage has pretty much stopped as I don't take it ou the house in the weekdays as I don't vape at work, nor did I smoke until I go home when I smoked.

My menthol was a litle burnt papery tasting after about 10 days without any sort of clean out this morning, but blow thru and drain (no water, no dry burn) sorted it out and is now good.
