That's condensation and there's really no way to prevent it.

To clear it, place a cover over the bottom opening (where you fill it), or while the tank is empty, and use a syringe to force clear water into the hole in the mouth piece and let it run out the 2 vents at the bottom of the tank. Then shake the water out like you are shaking a thermometer.

If you don't have a syringe, just set the faucet for a very tiny stream and aim it at the hole in the mouth piece.
If you cover one vent at a time that will force the water out the other one and you end up with a nice clean air passage.

You don't have to empty the tank to do this, just put one of the covers that comes with it on the bottom to keep the e-juice in.

What I do to remove the condensation is remove the insert in the mouthpiece tip with a dental pick or toothpick, then remove the other insert that is a bit further inside the mouthpiece and use a cotton swab to absorb the condensation, then put the inserts back in. Some people leave out the inside insert and claim it lessens the amount of condensation but I haven't found it to make much of a difference. Someone also posted that they just remove both inserts but I found that didn't make much difference either.

The condensation mostly comes from vapor that is left in the mouthpiece at the end of a drag and can be lessened letting up on the button just before the end of your draw. That way there's no vapor left in the mouthpiece to condense.

Although it's possible to just keep refilling a tank for months, for sanitary reasons at least once a week I remove the the inserts and soak everything in vodka (you can also use PGA or isopropyl alcohol) for 5 mins or so, then rinse them with hot water.

Hi everyone,
I've been vaping since October 2009 and it is AWESOME. I just bought an ego-T from CigNot (best supplier ever...), and I love not having to drip all the time. The only thing is that after a couple of days, juice starts to build up in the mouthpiece and I can't seem to blow it out of there. Any ideas?

Hi,

I have used Ego's and had leaking issues an juice in mouth piece.....try the silicone caps available from cloud9vaping they seem to have helped no end.

It could be caused by the atty getting hot and causing the hole at the feed end to get bigger....the silicone seems to have a greater tolerance for heat.

Hope this helps :vapor:

When I first got my ego-t when it first was introduced I wanted to chuck it. It leaked in the addy and gurgled terribly. I hate refilling all day so I decided to try the Type B. It has a bigger tank and it smoked my room up.LOL I got them from Vaporkings (THE BEST) when the leaking stuff was supposed to be worked out. I Lovvvvvve! Their is a silicone seal now that took care of that issue, but I found you have to line up groove on tanks to grooves inside. I use my mod and dct now at home, but when I go out I ALWAYS bring my ego-t It hits very hard!!! Condensation is inevitable so just do what everyone suggested.
