If you find the eGo systems to be leaky, as many have, then you could try a 510-T with an eGo drip shield. It's a little pricier to set up, since a quality drip shield will cost you about $10.00, but it may well be worth the investment if you find the tanks to your liking.

Good luck again. And Merry Christmas!

Ow, wow! Here I was, assuming you all would ignore my post in favor of eggnog and mistletoe, but you still take the time and effort to help out those of us still fighting tooth and nail to keep away from our longtime love affairs with poison (Parliament Lights were my beloved poison of choice from age 13). DancingHeretik, I totally appreciate your rant; and you should rant on. This has, indeed, been an embarrassingly confusing transition.

Let's see, I should have tried to be more specific in my whining. My main experience has been with vivi novae, and EVERY other clearo (seriously, I've spent way, way more than I really can afford). I am caring for my two very elderly parents (including the constant changing of night-sheets and such), and working two jobs, so I was really searching for the option that meant the very least time/fiddling/upkeep. I recognized early that I need a vg-heavy blend, or the headaches come quick. I've tried Boba's Bounty and all the most highly recommended vg-based juices. But in these clearos, it seems like I get the constant impression of the dry-hits I'd get when I first tried this all, with atomizers.

Admittedly, I have 3 ego twists, and have not popped for a more expensive battery because I've never felt that the problem is with my battery, but rather with the atomizing device. Honestly, the only time I've tasted the flavor of any of my fancy juices, and not just some usually unpleasant variation on a dry ugh of TH and vapor, is during the blink of an eye before I've manage to kill one of the few 306 attys I've had and with one 6 ml smoketech tank that lasted a couple hours before it became just hopelessly leaky. I do feel like one of the only folks who haven't been happy with the vivi nova. And, I promise, I'm not typically that hard to please! No princess and the pea, here.

The carto tank option seems like it would work best for me. But every tank I've owned has worked for under a day. An uncanny number of leaks are the biggest problem, but also I think that my vg-based juices are just ill-suited for a tank set-up. Any further guidance, whatsoever, is SO appreciated. I've been at this for five months, and, even at $8.25 a pack, those terrible Parliaments are starting to call louder to me at check-out stands.

Thank you, again (I could say that a hundred times over and still feel it's woefully insufficient)!

I am useing the twist with a mini vivi nova 2 ml, my atty is 2.8 ohm. It works great at 4.5 - 4.8 volts. The juice I have right now are TV key lime pie @ 32mg, TV Spiced rum @ 32mg, and sweet iced cappucino @ 28mg from phatt clouds all of these are great. The nova was purchase from gentlemens reserve and are completely rebuildable and adaptable for differant attys. I got tired of the ego c system fast but swear buy the battery and charger. The system or set up itself is very leaky, low on vapor and are very finiky with the power of your draw the amount you put in and the type of juice you have. Keep trying new things till you find what works best for you, I personaly think the atty cone tank thing is a waste of effort and would not advise you put the money into it. Merry Christmas:vapor:

noseyparker, had a thought after I saw your post about using vg juices. I would try thinning it by adding about two drops of water to start with to a couple or three ml of juice, like a VN tankful. Shake it up good, vape and see if it helps. Add a few more drops if needed, one at a time until you notice a difference. Try it in other clearos also. You can use tap water to trial this and if it works for you you can buy distilled water from a pharmacy or department store pretty cheap. Tap water contains minerals and chemicals that I would not want in my juices all the time.

HTH!

Where can I find some TV Spiced rum @ 32mg ?? And, being that I am looking at starter kits and am new to vaporing, would you recommend the Joyetech eGo-T ?

I know from reading your posts that you have tried the Novas and are looking at another tank. I can say that I started with the Ego-T and moved to the Vision Vivi Nova and it was a vast improvement. Don't get me wrong the T and C are nice, and I personally didn't have too many leak issues, my wife did with her newer one ironically. Any how, the C would be a better option than the T, reason, same equipment, cheaper replacement costs.

However, I might suggest going forward with your Nova and finding out what the issues you are having are coming from. Because there has to be something going wrong if you have a legit Nova and not a clone. I have found that 50/50 or even 80/20 works fine in the Nova. I get my Juice from James at MtBakerVapor. Be sure you have cleaned and dry burned your atty on the Nova from the box to make sure it is clean. Also make sure your voltage is at the right setting for the ohm of your atty. I have used for different heads on two differend Nova tanks, and other than one that had its wicks fall off, have had not one single issue with them both.

Kayo, TV is Tasty Vapor. Lots of folks love them, but the pg content in their juice too high for me. As for the ego-T, read over this thread, as I started it with just that question. Thanks so much, bigsmke. I haven't added water because I thought that the 20-30% pg in most of my juices was more of a thinner than a couple drops of water, and I didn't want to further water-down a bunch of flavors that I already can't taste at all. Clearly too many here are disappointed with c and t-tanks. Does anyone happen to know of an especially sturdy/easily maintained tank, one that plays well with vg, on which I might take one more shot?

I use the standard 4ml Pyrex tank from Valley View Vapes with a 50/50 juice with no issues. If your tanks are leaking, are you cutting the o-rings when you slide the cartomizer in, the edges are a bit sharp? A tank tool (like a slap yo' mamma) really makes it easier to get the carto in and it helps to protect the o-rings.

Thanks so much, Jarksi44. I just stopped my waffling and ordered both the tank and the tank tool you suggested. I sure hope that it'll work as well for me with 30/70 juice. I'm sure that the step down to the c or t-tanks would've only made for additional griping on my part. Just to update my bumpy journey, I just got a vamo for Christmas, and I was wrong. I don't understand it, but the same voltage on the vamo produces a more satisfying experience than on the ego twist. Out of curiosity, if any of you can explain to me why that would be, I'd love to be enlightened because I'm scratching my head, here.

Greetings Noseyparker!

First off, I'm an eGo user, and I fail to see the frustration. Nothing works 100% and never will, there's limitations in everything in life. eGo is a system designed and made by Joyetech. It's now used as a term for battery configuration (like 510 etc). Regarding frustration, I have found that most frustration comes from aftermarket or clones rather than the original Joyetech product. I don't have any issues with mine at all.

If this is your first system, my advise is to pick one Original Joyetch eGo system and let it roll. The T is the older model which the atomizer and tube were a single assembly. This was great at first, but as your atomizer weakens after use, you have to replace the entire assembly. The C version (newer) allows for replacement of only the atomizer head which reduces cost and allows for minimal amount of work for replacement.

There are many variations on the theme. You can eliminate the atomizer for a clearomizer which is a tank that holds your fluid instead of a cartridge. There's variable voltage batteries (should be used with clearomizers) to deliver a steady stream of vape and heat up the fluid more.

My take: If you're a beginner, pick a system, experiment with it. Find flavors you like, if you want to expand, pick up a few eGo type clearomizers (provided you purchased an eGo system).

The main thing with vaping is to kick back, relax and enjoy!

I think you'll find the carto tank a really nice system...once you get the hang of it. Be sure to fill your cartomizer first before adding juice to the tank. Use that SYM tool! And invest in a tank filling tool too like this Stainless Steel DCT Refilling Tool with it you can add more juice to your tank without having to take the tank off the battery ...it works great (just remember that one of the holes in it needs to keep out of the juice or it might cause a back up of juice and a spill!) Also...even if you've already filled the cartomizer before filling the tank, it pays to "prime" the carto, too...take a few sharp hard pulls without firing to encourage more juice absorbing in the filler material in the cartomizer. You should see bubbles coming out of at least one of the holes punched in the carto. With the larger tanks, like the 6ml. you may need to repeat the "priming" thing every now and then to be sure the coil is staying wet. You should hear a slight crackling sound when you vape.

For high VG...probably 2 or 3 hole punched cartomizers would be best. Offhand...with the very high VG you mentioned, I'd go with the three hole to start. If that's too much, you can back off next time to two holes. One hole will NOT work for you.

Okay..I'm confused. People keep talking about "eGo T" and "eGo C" as if they are delivery systems and not the PV battery. I think of eGo T as a device...the gizmo with the battery in it that you screw a cartomizer or atomzier on. But that isn't how some here are talking...so I guess I'm wrong? I use a eGo T Mod daily and it uses the same carto tank I use on my telescope, Bolt, and LavaFire. Can anyone explain this? I find it VERY confusing, and I've been at this for 14 months! I also thought eGo C was the battery device, too! After all..I believe my Twist is an eGo C, if I 'm not mistaken!!

Me too! I am confused too!

When I upgraded from 808 cig style batts to an ego-t i was impressed for sure, hated the ego-t stock atty/tank system though it alway needed priming and gave me burned plastic taste. Not knowing much about ohms and dual coil cartomizers I would let the local vape store choose my cartos for me asking them "what's the best" lol. Not every employee was the most knowledgable. Ego-t will workusin well on low resistance stuff though like 1.5 ohm. I'm now using the vision spinner though and i love it.
