I like the ego-t, but I would like to try and alternative atty/cart option. I was looking at the mega att/cart combo. Would this be a good option or is the far better out there?

Just about all of the eGo mega stuff has really mixed reviews. If you just want to try something else, I'll suggest a pack of Boge cartomizers, a couple 510 attys and a drip tip. If nothing else, that'll give you a better baseline for comparison.

+1 - the boge cartomizers really give a different vape. And of course dripping is another world from the ego-t. There is a low resistance ego-t atty that I really like. cignot has them.
My favorite juice is from Kick Bass Vapor, very smooth, not harsh at all.

The thing with any filler type cartomizer, boge, SLB, joye included, is the ease by which they burn. See:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...us-510-kr808-4081-etc-filler-type-cartos.html

... one of the longest threads on ECF with many autopsies that show the burning of the coil wrap and filler. And the dangers of inhaling burnt PET. And there is nothing special about any brand that uses filler. The CE2's (non-filler cartos) were a direct result of people attempting to avoid cartos with fillers. And on top of that - if you are careful to keep them wet to reduce the chance of burning, then there's the "strained through a sweaty t-shirt" flavor that is widely noted and the reason why many people have tried and given up on cartos in general. Because taste is subjective, not all get that 'strained through a tshirt flavor', but even many of those who don't, don't want the burning filler and coil wrap thing.

Thanks for all the replies. I did try the CE2 cartos. I am pretty sure I got the "sweaty t-shirt" taste in 3/5. The other two had no bad taste, but I felt the tanks were better. I let them sit for a good 5 hours with juice in them thinking that might help, but still a pretty bad vape. I have also tried 510 cartos. Did not like those either. Seems that me and cartos just do not mix. I will be trying the atty/cart combo, and I will also pick up a drip tip on my next order.

The drip tip would be fine for use in my house but I work a lot. I just need something that will get me through the day without much frustration. The tanks are great the first few hits for me, but after that I seem to get a very noticeable decrease in flavor and vapor. Tried both LR/ego-t atty. The LR is better, but the 3 I have used seem to work great for the first day or two and that is it.

The CE2's have their own share of problems but filler isn't one of them. The early ones had a metal taste - solder - and a plastic taste - the bottom - both of which have been changed in later versions. The XL's have wicking problems, imo. And I've ordered a box of the 'new revision' and have gotten 2 or 3 of the older version in the box. I autopsied some suspecting that and they were a mix.
