1. You would need a starter kit of some sort, there are many out there. You can even try a disposable one, they sell them @ most gas stations and convenience stores in the US. If you go for a starter kit, there are a ton of sites that offer quality kits. I personally use joyetech eGo-T tanks. I find them easy enough to use and some what reliable.

2. It depends on the quality of the kit but regardless you will have to replace your parts sooner or later, batteries and chargers usually last for a good few months if taken care of and maintained properly. Atomizers/cartomizers/cartridges are dependent on usage.

3. There's a bunch of links on this forums to reputable sites that carry good ecigs, you just have to do some research. Youtube is also a great resource for reviews of different brands and models.

4. Not sure what that means.

I do not use the tanks - I don't like atomizers and prefer my juices totally separate and a totally fresh new ecig feel every time I start a fresh carto.

I think people prefer the B

Extras
You might want to get some soft replacement tank doors from Cignot.com
Blunt syringe - I think people find it best to prepunch the tank on the atomizer and then take it off and fill with syringe into the hole
A plain non-tank 510 atomizer and drip tip for testing new juices
Juices with 30% or less VG (though some thinner 50/50's may work)

A pack of Boge 510 cartomizers and learn to use them (3 ohm are barely warm and easier to learn on, 2 ohms are hotter and use your charge up faster - and I use 20% or less VG in Boges though 30% works). Use cartomizers for clingy flavors you don't want in your atomizer and for cinnamon which can damage plastic. And it seems like at least 50% of people who buy the tank models end up switching to cartomizers anyway

Liberty-Flights.com is one good vendor of Joye brand Ego-T and first press the 20% off upper left front page and then shop at the reduced prices.

re replacements -

Ecig batteries are generally good for 200 recharges or so, maybe more

Tanks - replacement door should help them last but I never used them so I don't know

Atomizers - you need to try to keep them clean and even then for me atomizers degrade and stop delivering flavor and vapor as well, and those tank attys are not cheap. You will probably have to replace an atomizer first. These tank atomizer also sometimes need their wick adjusted - search youtube for Ego-T wick and you should find some videos.

And you should always have a spare charging cable in case anything goes wrong with the cable

Cartomizers - I can get 10 days use (about 20ml) out of a Boge with thin clear juices

A few quickies for you veterans:
1. What parts do you need to start?
2. Do I have to replace any of the parts regularly?
3. Where is the best/cheapest place to get a legit one?
4. Model A or B; which one wins?
1. A kit is probably best since it comes with everything. 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, spare tanks and a charger.
You can buy ejuice seperately and also silicone caps for the tanks are advisable.
2. If you keep your atomizers clean, they should last for a while, but later you may want to buy spare low resistance atomizers (or cartomizers).
3. Maybe someone else can help where to buy, ( I bought mine from Health Cabin in China).
As for 'legit', IMO, they are basically the same thing.
4. I prefer A, it has less leaking issues in my personal experience although now with the new silicone caps, I don't think that either A or B tanks can leak. A is the smaller cone shaped atomizer and B is the larger cylindrical shaped atomizer.

P.S. I LOVE my eGo-T's!
