Make sure you factor in other costs as well, especially shipping. I ordered 2 atty and tanks from heaven gifts. $53 dollars I believe and 2 weeks to get here. Checked Cignot. Cheaper to get the parts from them here in the US and pay cheaper shipping. and get it in a couple days. I believe the volcano's are the same. They sure look the same too. Maybe someone else will jump in to confirm this.

...So, in my experience so far, the tanks last longer than the attys. Your mileage may vary...

Totally agree. From the standpoint of trying to make all this cheaper that analogs, the atty seems to be the biggest/most frequent outlay. Not that I'm smoking (heh) through them at an alarming rate (2/mo). And yes, I keep them cleaned :)

I've had to throw away two tanks so far. One got a little misshapen from biting down on it when I needed my hands for a few minutes (held it in my teeth too tightly I guess) and the other just quit seating properly this morning for no apparent reason (no idea what I did... maybe I sat on it in the car or something... beats me).

I bought a bunch of tanks when I got my ego-t a few weeks ago. I immediately filled 10 tanks. 3 with my favorite flavor, 2 with my second favorite, and the rest with assorted other flavors. I used a ball point to mark the rubber caps with what was in the tanks and I put the whole bunch in my carry kit. - The tanks I had to throw away were probably only filled three or four times each, but a couple with my favorite flavor have been filled too many times to count with no issues.

six,

I'm curious how well the tanks do after being pierced but with the rubber caps on - in terms of leaking.

I wouldn't carry them loose in my pants pocket, but they've stayed clean in the carry bag I have. They haven't made a mess on any of my other gear and I haven't had any caps fall off or anything like that. The rubber caps fit pretty well, and I think they stay put better than other styles of cartridge caps because of the two slots on the sides of the tanks.

i have used all 10 of my tanks but mostly because my initial assumption (now i think likely false) was that the plastic hole was where the leak was. From all these threads i have come to the conclusion that its more likely the wick. ( i did bite one and also drop the pv and crack one, lost the cap of one and the mouth element in another--) i think what i'm going to do is buy a real carrying case with nice little pockets. most everything i have from the 510 joye days is too small (the 10o0mAh sure desn't fit)

the tanks hold a little over 1 ml right? about how long does a full tank last? I started out last Friday with a SmokeStik went thru 8 pre-filled cartos in 5 days ...I am needing longer battery life, so I ordered an Ego-T, hopefully it will be here tomorrow. I have about 50 ml of juice and am curious as to when I will need more and how much to keep on hand

How much you nee dto keep on hand depends on how much you use per day. I'm pretty well stocked as of now. But, I would say you don't want to go below about a weeks worth - bare minimum.

After using these for awhile now, I'd go for the clear or clearish/blue tanks. I've found a loose chad in one and noticed a lot of juice in the mouth-end of the tip in others because I could see into them. Just a thought...

Thanks for the input, I have clearish/blue tanks now and they seem to be working well for me. I'd probably go for either that or the whiteish/clear.

You're going to go through more juice with the ego-t than with the smokstik. Probably way more.

If I'm busy at work and using a 510 w/ carts, I only use a couple of ml a day. If I'm dripping, I go through about three times that much. My consumption with the tanks has been about on par with dripping. And, the first few days you have it, you will probably go through a lot because you'll be "checking out the new toy" (I've done that with every new PV I've ever bought... and I've read other people say that in these forums at least a hundred times).

I agree, I'm using more juice with the tank system than I was with ego mega atty and cart setup.
