Thanks in advance to all the great people who share info at ECF. I've been learning from lurking the forums.

Now on to my situation.

I bought the eGo T Tank type B kit from Cignot dot com a week ago. It's my first kit aside from the 7 eleven xhale02 I had for a week to start. My goal is just a daily driver that I can use to replace my analogs. I really like the eGo unit so far except for the technical difficulties I've been having with leaks and now a failure to heat on one of the LR atomizers after only one week. It looks like my leaks have had two sources.

1. I seem to have experienced the leaks mainly while driving. This occured on both atties from the kit and mostly came through the mouth if memory serves.

2. I just fired up one of the atties while getting ready to have a look to see if the wick was placed well and found that it's not heating. I just used it an hour or so ago in the car. I Promise that the lack of heat did not occur after playing with the wick :) It was just a coincidence that I was going to get ready to fiddle with it.

Basically. Not sure where to go from here. I'm going to continue vaping the one good attie and the two batteries and see if leaks occur. But I'm not sure if I should continue down this road with the tanks or try carts. I bought the LR atomizers from Cignot which are not warranteed for a reason that I am too newbie to understand. I'm learning here and would love to learn more.

I love vaping so far as I've gone from 25 Kools a day to 3-5 with the electronics in between. Feels great. Any experience or input with this kit or ideas would be helpful. I think a replacement may be necessary as I might need to have a backup for the one attie I have left. But I'm not sure really.

You could contact Vicky at Cignot. Ask her for a suggestion. She is extremely helpful and will usually answer right away.

I gave the tanks a try. The first one was great but only lasted 2 weeks. The second one never worked properly. I have a feeling it's more the way I vape that might be doing it.

I just use boge 2.0 cartomizers. I'm really happy with them. Buy a pack for your ego and give them a try. No leaking and a consistant vape.

25 cigs to 3 is remarkable!! You're really doing excellent. You'll see- eventually you won't want the cigs at all. What juice do you vape?

Thanks SF. I've been trying different menthols. So far:
1. the "Menthol" 24mg from Cignot which doesn't really have a special name do it. "Very minty and airy not too far off from a Kool."
2. The Menthol 18mg that came in the tanks. "Very minty and airy like a Salem maybe"
3. Menthol Smoke 24mg from Viking Vapors. "Close to a Newport but with a mesquite aftertaste"
4. Cool Mint Menthol Tobbaco 30mg from Viking Vapors "My favorite. Has an almost sweet tobacco flavor with a nice moderate menthol to it. 30 mg is a bit strong so I may get more at a lower dose later.

Regarding the Boge cartomizers. Are these something I can use with my current eGo T setup? What would I need to replace I'm assuming everything but the battery.

I told you Vicky was fast! Yes, you can use the cartomizer on the ego battery. It holds about 1 ml of juice (less than the tank) and they are disposable but they can be reused many times.

You can pick up a pack at Liberty Flight for around $7.99 for 5.

Crystal Clear Vaping has a special, 15 cartos for $20 with free shipping.
Crystal Clear Vaping

They also have a discount code. I'll try to find it.

Hello exkool you could try and superglue the end caps on the tanks and fill with blunt tip syringe. It seems that poping of these caps can make them loose and leaky also take slow drags don't take hard draws this can cause leaking.also check the attys that are not heating with a multimeter to make sure you don't have an open circuit.

So after a suggestion from Vicky I gave a little pull/push to a ring with LR typed on it to ease it out a little to get it to meet the battery a little better. Now the seemingly broken atty is firing again.

I'm still apprehensive that I'm going to get in my car in a couple of hours and get a mouthful or juice though :(

Glad you got it working again. Check the tip of the mouthpiece end to see if there is any juice in it. Juice will collect inside of the mouthpiece tip, but it can be popped off for cleaning.

Thanks for all the tips everyone. Seriously thanks.

I'll relax a little about throwing the tanks out. I think I'm adjusting to the fact that there is maintenance involved with them and that atomizers sometimes fail. I'll also get a few cartomizers for fun to see how I like them. Not a big investment at all. I have eGo batteries so I'll try one of those jumbos.

Any menthol vapors have recommendations? Not sure what brands of menthol juice are favorites and also if the type of juice matters with the tanks.

I vape nhalers nuport. That's pretty much my all day vape. I also have BWB menthol and Rocky Mountain vapors menthol. Besides menthol I'm really liking fruit flavors. Love the fruit juices from Vapor Bomb, especially peach and strawberry. Also like their orange dream bar. I have a big bottle of Artic Ice from Vapor Bomb, that's straight up menthol and I mix that in a lot of my fruit juices. I've heard great things about Halo menthol but I've never tried it.

That might be what caused my problems.

So far the regular T-tank atomizer that I have is working. The LR atty failed in one week after using it for a total of 6 hours tops. I bought another atty but for now will not be buying the LR tank attys again. The vendor I bought from only guarentees the LR for one week so it seems they are expecting them to fail. Just remember to blow the attys out every day as they do collect juice. I just use the Ego tank when I am working to stealth vape. The thing I like about them is I can keep them in my pocket without worrying about leaking.

The juice in the mouthpiece would be coming up with the air/vapour. I think you are drawing too hard.
Slow and long! The excess juice can be drawn up & get "trapped" in the air vents on the side.
I normally hear a "gurgle" not a "crackle/pop" when this has happened.
I find that pulling out the top (two) pieces of the tank with a bent paper clip & good wash in water helps alot.

Go & check out vicky from cignot's cleaning of the ego-t.
There are two good (Excellent!) ones.. the first was the wick positioning one.
The newer one is a cleaning session at the sink.

YouTube - ‪eGo-t wick adjustment‬‏
YouTube - ‪How I clean my eGo-t atty... or... Sunday morning at Vicky's kitchen sink‬‏

As for the LR atty's.
Since these are made much closer to the "burn out" tolerances for coil wire it is easier to "pop" them like a fuse if you fire them for too long. In normal use, this should be hard to do with the 10 second cutoff.
I use nothing but the LR's with my ego-t now..

I think a replacement may be necessary as I might need to have a backup for the one attie I have left. But I'm not sure really.

ALWAYS have spares.. :)

Thanks for the continued input.

It looks like the one atomizer is toast. Must just have been the luck of the draw. And no joke when I was getting out of the car tonight at home I could not find my eGo Tank. I looked all over. It would be pretty hilariously tragic if I lost it somehow. Oh well. And the adjustment I made to the other attie seems to only last a minute or two.

Either way I've learned a lot from this thread. I didn't leak any juice at all tonight, (before misplacing it), and I consider that a success. I paid more attention to how hard I was dragging and it seemed to make a huge difference. I'll also try removing both caps and rinsing on the tanks that have been leaked through to clear things up a bit before refilling.

I think both the tanks and the cartomizers would be great to have for different reasons.

If I did in fact lose my working ego tank I'll have to consider a replacement pair. Maybe just building a couple of different ones by piece would be the way to go. The 510s are appealing for their small size.

And I'm going to order the menthol ice. Sounds like just what I want. Menthol with a little sweet and tobacco. Not just a vicks taste.

I started with the ego t. have considered the b type. I recently tried my first boge lr carto, and then I bought 20. I really like them. you have to top em off now and then but the flavour and vapor is awesome. I've had hit and miss t attys too. the last two lr's were bad. one had this metallic taste I couldn't get out boiling etc. the red lr atty in my avatar lasted about 3 weeks and popped. first one I have had that actually died completely. they usually just get blah. I'm getting good use per dollar out of these cartos. the T's are good for long trips but a carto lasts me about 3 hrs before I have to top it up... was given a 510 t to play with. it's nice but I just have desert stuff in it. I'm no veteran but I like the taste of the carto. it's almost dripping. the cone that covers the carto is nice too. tightens the draw. throw the plugs out and get a drip tip. easier to pull out and fill. I always drop those stupid rubber plugs (and less likely to suck hot juice up if you top it too heavy hehe, yup been there)

The problem with poor connection between battery and atty is common if you over tighten your attys. One may have a longer center post than the other and be pushing down on the center terminal in the battery, then the shorter one won't reach it. Don't over tighten attys, thread them in until they stop spinning freely then turn just a little more to snug it even if the atty doesn't sit down tight on top of the battery it will be fine.

As for tanks leaking every time you put it on the hole gets a little bigger and eventually they start leaking. T tanks are disposable they do wear out that is why they are so cheap, they need to be replaced often. The caps also loosen each time they are removed.

Boge cartos are great, particularly for on the go, if you are using a T system every time you have it in your mouth and hit a bump it wiggles the tank on the pin and will wear it out faster, cartos don't have that problem and if you carry a few cartos with you there is the potential to change flavors when you like or carry enough of your favorite flavor to last all day. Most people get several hours out of a carto.

+1 on this.. I do them up until they grab, then back it off.

I have had the same type-b tank running for weeks.
I think the leaking is more down to the draw, and the juice thickness.
The atty's (B-LR's) get "blah" after a week or so.. A clean gets them back as good as new
