Another newbie here. I've been vaping for about 3 weeks (haven't totally weaned myself off of the analogs, but getting there). I've been using a K8082D system (V2) so far and am really interested in moving up. I'm looking at the 2 tank systems because of the ease of refilling (my biggest frustration so far is cleaning/refilling cartridges). Which do you recommend?

Hi Mark and welcome to ECF. My suggestion would be either the Kgo or the E-Power. both are true 3.7 volts and have batts that are approx. 1100 mah. 100 mah= 1 hr vaping before recharge. Either kit costs about $40. Also has the manual batts which are good cuz:
less chance of damge from juice
some autos fire when loud sounds occur
best of all it puts you the vaper in complete control- if you want a stronger hit hold the button down longer.
These 2 PVs also allow a wider range of cartos and attys.
As for tanks you can always add on a tank (uses disposable cartos) later for about $10-$15. Or you could move up to a Clearomizer= tank and element in one
Diff between Kgo and E-Power is the batts- Kgo batts are $15+ whereas the E-Power batts are seperate from the unit and cost $5.
Good Luck.

As far as I know, the Joye eGo-T and Tornado Tank are exactly the same thing. EGo being the original name used by the manufacturers and most vendors, and Tornado the rebranded name by a few vendors.

Welcome to ECF, Mark! Well if I'm not mistaken, the 2 are virtually the same, no? I will have to agree with Vapoor eyes er and say those would be better choices for flexibility. If you, personally, are wanting one of those two, it would come down to cost? If so you can find the eGo-T kit for under $60 and the Tornado kit is right about $70.

Yes. "If" you order the Kgo or E-Power make sure to order
Smok Tech XL 1.7 Ohm single coil
Smok Tech XL 510 Single Coil Cartomizer - 5 Pack
And the Starter Kit
SLB KGO Starter Kit
Here's a 5% discount code
ECFDCV
I also really like the Chopper Tank because it has a side hole for easy filling. With the tank my 1.7 cartos last about 2 weeks.
Chopper Cyclone Tanks

Good Luck

Okay, then, next question: If I go the Kgo route, could I then use the Ego-T addy and carts?

This looks good but for one problem; This doesn't look like something I'm likely going to use when I'm out and about (work, etc.). One of the reasons I went with the Kanger in the first place was it was easy for me to take with me. First, the KGo is quite a bit longer than the Ego and once you add the Cyclone tank, it looks like a bad science experiment, lol.

It's completely your choice and if you need a cig looking PV it's all good. Sometimes people need a certain "look" while others just want "performance". Problem is there are just SO MANY PVs out there. Now there's a pen size Ego Twist VV PV.
Cheers.

It is only longer than the 650mah eGo batts. These are going to be 1100mah which means more life, but a bit longer. You can still stick with the cartos and keep it sleek and visually appealing if that is what you are after! You could also grab a stardust (eGo vision clearomizer) or a 3.5ml smoktech tank which will give it a smooth appearance. These will still fit in your pocket and give you ample vape time!

Vapoor, I think Mark is asking about the eGo-T (T for tank) for eGo battery. I don't think he was meaning a huge tank for a big mod like the one in your link. Wouldn't that be a bit top heavy and overkill on an eGo battery? Also a bit complicated and specialized for a noob who wants an eGo type device. Just my opinion.

Sure but in my opinion the Kgo and E-Power are a better PV in terms of performance and in regards to the E-Power a far cheaper PV to maintain. Some are happy with the Ego-T and Tornado Tank but I've also read many posts in regards to problems with them- lack of taste, flooding, etc. I agree with your stance on clearomizers and although friends use them I don't. I'm finding the biggest problem with choice of PVs is whether or not the user minds size. From a "looks" perspective combined with performance I really do like the clearos. He has been vaping for a while so I don't necessarily label him as a noob. As we all know vaping is a very personal program and this thread, once again, proves that LOL.
Cheers....dialogue is a good thing IMO

Yes, I agree. But aren't we after all trying to help newbies with the kind of device THEY want and what fits their needs?

Guys, it's not the look, it's the logistics (I've got tenure, so I could care less about looks, lol). I carry my Kangers in a case that fits in my pocket. Pittboss makes a good point; I'm already considering the stardusts (my only concern with them is that I read somewhere that citrus juices can wreck them, and my favorite non-tobacco juice atm is Highbrow's Orange Sangre).

It is true that citric, hot cinnamon, sour, malic acid and soda flavours are likely to react to polycarbonate. Maybe consider keeping that one in a carto..if you decide to go that route. If that is your current "all day vape" you could use the eGo-T atty system on any of those batts and "upgrade" when you think is necessary. Many things to consider and what it all boils down to is what is going to suit you. Play around with some ideas and it will help you decide what you want from your PV!

"Cinnamon and high acid juices, like citrus, are know to crack tanks. It's the type of plastic they use on those cartos that is the culprit. This has been a know issue since the first Clearomizers came out. It was solved by using a different plastic in the CE3s, and (I think) even the newer CE2 revisions, but evidently not in the Stardust."
That's the reason I have yet to buy a clearomizer although I have bought them for friends.

Yes but some have had problems with the Ego-T and Tornado Tank and thus was offering him alternatives. Clearomizers have also had problems with certain juices yet NOTHING was addressed regarding this? Why do you think vendors are having such a hard time keeping the Kgo in stock? Anyways he's been offered a number of choices and I'll leave it up to him.
If you need a large storage delivery device without a tank the ST XL or Boge XL cartos are a good choice and hold lottsa juice.
Whatever your choice Mark good luck and happy vaping and my apologies if this thread got a touch OT. This was not my intention.

Hey Mark. I was just in the same situation as you. I came from V2 and decided on Smokelessimage and their X2 battery and clearomizers. I know you didn't mention them in your first post, but I find that it's a good setup (for me). I like that SI has made their X2 with an 808 fitting. So I can still use my remaining carts with the X2. And vice versa, I can use my clearomizers on my minis (although I can't think of a reason to use that configuration). I like that I can still use all my old hardware, without relying on it, and it doesn't just sit in the corner collecting dust. I also occasionally lend out my minis and/or cartos to newbies or under-stocked friends. Just a thought.
