Cancer and other illnesses related to smoking have outrageous costs, so this is definitely something to think about. If you want to get by as cheaply as you were smoking, I think you'll have to mix your own juice. I assume that you spent about $6 a pack, so working with a $3 a day budget will be tight. AND, there will eventually be replacement parts needed. Good luck.

A 20-pack is $8 here so $4 a day.......but yes I do understand the health differences, just thought there was going to be a bonus of saving some money too!!!! And somewhere along the line analogs, although difficult to give up, just weren't doing it for me anymore anyway.

So what I'm wondering is what a higher battery does to the juice. I've got 2 schools of thought here.....one it will liquify the juice more easlily so there will be more leakage OR it melts it faster and you get no leakage. Not sure if I'm on the right track there.

I assume that you're talking about voltage of the batteries. This is one of those matters of personal preference. I have several PVs that work on about 3.2 volts, one at 3.7 volts, and a mod at 5 volts. I understand that some of the mods go up to 7 volts. Personally, I've been happy in the 3 volt category and didn't notice any improvement at 5 volts, but that's just me. There's all kinds of PVs, plenty enough to make everyone happy.

Hate to dig up an old thread, but are the cones the same for the A and B units. Just got a type B unit today and love it but would like to buy a cone for it and don't need any more "unable to use this" stuff around here.

No, they are different. They are also different for a Type B Cartridge and a Type B Tank. The Cartridge has filler material in it, and the tank is completely empty. You can't use plain cones on either of them. The Type B Cartridge requires a Type B Cartridge Atomizer that fits it. The Type B Tank requires a Type B Tank Atomizer to fit it. So, the first thing you need to find out is what Type B you got. I hope this helps you.

It is a type B cartridge, didn't care to mess with the tank type. If a cone won't fit on it, what are the outer threads for?

I'll now assume that you have neither one of them, rather a cartomizer - maybe an older style Cartomizer. I really don't know what you have. Do you have to lift off a tiny bridge of plastic to fill it? OR, can you see filler material as you fill it with juice?

Realy confused here, the kit I have has a battery, a type B cylinder atomizer and cartridge. The atomizer screws into the 510 threads, but there is another thread on the battery that is larger. I assumed this thread is for a cone. Is this correct or is there another accessory that uses this thread.

I'm confused also and don't know what you have. I suspect that you have an older style cartomizer that's almost or is as big around as the battery. If so, a cone isn't going to fit over it. A cone is only used with slender cartomizers that aren't anywhere near the diameter of the battery. The larger thread, as you call it, is also used for atomizers designed to work with tanks. I don't think that's what you have. You would waste your money buying just cones unless you have something slender enough to fit through them. Does what you screw onto the battery come in one part or two? This might help in identifying what you have.

If it's in one part, you have a cartomizer and can either buy more just like it or go to one of the two-piece types. If it's in two parts, you might have another older style cartridge and atomizer. If so, you would have a choice of buying more cartridges just like the one you have, going to a different two piece type, or going to a cartomizer. There's many to choose from. I wish that I could help you more, but I can't figure out what you have.

lolz... it shouldn't be this hard, huh? :) Can I suggest that you use googled pictures to explain what you have? Here's what I think is going on.

The only way you could have an atomizer that screws on to an eGo-T battery yet still shows larger threads on the outside, is if you have an eGo 510-T atomizer like this:
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/1702/510tattysideon.jpg

When it comes to the eGo-T, I haven't seen those atomizers too often since the market is dominated by the atomizers described below.

The regular eGo-T Type-B atomizer looks like this:
http://vaporgeek.com/images/Joye eGo-T atomizer type B_1.jpg

You see it has the same threaded post inside, but the atomizer tube hides it, giving a more polished look on the unit.

Then you have the Type-A atomizer, which is a cone, like this:
http://www.centraltrade.eu/images/eGo-T-atomize.JPG

It also covers the actual threaded post inside, just like the Type-B, so the unit looks more complete.

The Type-A and Type-B atomizers do not use the outside threads you point out. I thought they were used by the battery charger, but it seems not... so I'm afraid I have no clue what those threads are used for.

Thanks for all the help, I think I have figured it all out. It seams that all ego batteries are the same and you can use type A or type B with the same battery. The point of my original question (post #24) was that I bought a type B kit, but I also had some reg 510 carto's that I wanted to use and since I had a type B kit I needed a cone to complete the finished look. I bought a cone yesterday and it works fine.
