Hi everyone. I have been having flooding issues with my eGo when I use the Type B (cylinder) mega atomizer and cartridge. juice leaks out from the battery end of the atty after I set the PV down after taking a few drags for the first hour or two after I fill the cartridge. I'm not over-filling it (I'm using a syringe, so I know I'm putting just under 2ml in each time) and cleaning the atty has no effect (I've tried boiling as well as soaking in isopropyl alcohol). I'm still using the standard polyfill in the cartridges and I haven't seen much talk of using something different in the mega carts...I've been successfully using tea bags in my 510 carts, but obviously I'd have to find a pretty big tea bag (or cram a whole box of them into the cart) to fill a mega cart and I've heard that fluval is just too porous for a mega cart. Is there any other filler I might try?

If this is just a common problem with the Type B atties, what about the Type A cone atties? Would the smaller cart size help with this? I've found that three weeks into this, I don't need a full 2ml of liquid to get through the day at work anymore (plus, who knows how much of that 2ml leaks out), so the Type A's 1.5ml would probably be fine for me. Plus, I'd rather carry an extra cart on me than have to wipe down the PV and wash my hands every time I use it anyway.

Basically, the way I see it, these are my choices, in order of preference:
1 - find a way to fix the issue without buying any more hardware
2 - switch to Type A cone atties
3 - switch to the tank system or to 510 cartos (tried the eGo mega cartos already and didn't like them - inconsistent vapor production, worse flavor)

Anyone have any advice? My goal here is to find a grab-and-go, no hassle system for work or for going out. When I'm at home, I use a drip tip exclusively, so none of this is an issue then. Aside from the annoyance of the leaking, the Type B system has been perfect, so far...I don't have to bring anything other than the eGo itself with me when I go to work.

ok my fix has worked for months now for me anyways. First cut blue foam twice as deep as cartridge and just as wide, round off the two ends abit, necxt cut a peice near the same shape as the opening of the cart and round it abit also but not too much just dont want sharp cormers. fill the cart alsmost to the top, fold the long peice of foam in 1/2 then top with the round peice you cut then add a few more drops of juice. this has been working great for a while now I can almost empty the cart dry. I think that the mega cylinders are the best atty I have ever used with the best hit ever. Once I figured out the leaking thing I have been very happy with them.

I've been using the type b for months now and it's become my "way" of vaping.

I don't drip, but use the tips with the white cottony stuff inside. It's given me the most consistent and satisfying experience of all the types I've tried. A 1000 mah battery, a type b atomizer and fresh tip with a bottle of Dekang Desert Ship 18mg and I'm good for a week.

Having the fluid run out the bottom of the atomizer and down the battery in a little pool is the only thing that has bothered me about the set up. But I blame myself for the problem, not the set up.

It only happens when I've overfilled the packing inside the tip. It's basically a sponge... sooooo

Of course it's going to run out if it's over filled and then pressed up against the bridge inside the atomizer. A sponge does the same thing when it's squeezed.

The trick for me has been to just put enough in there to keep me vaping for a couple hrs at a time without doing too much.

I'll admit... I still make a mess sometimes....

I tried the Mega Atty and cartridge system and had all kinds of problems - flooding and leaking. Bluntly, I didn't like it at all - flavor, vapor, nothing.

I think that the ultimate setup for the Ego-T is the large tank system. I have 5 of them, and they are trouble free. The tanks are large, so they last a long time if you aren't an extremely heavy vaper. You won't have any flooding or leaking problems unless you try to fill the tank completely. Leave some empty space at the top of the tank. That small bubble of air will solve all kinds of problems. I must also say that I use the regular - not the LR - and love the flavor and amount of vapor. If you're a heavy vaper, take a couple of extra tanks with you and you should be set. There is some confusion on the terminology. These are called:

Joye eGo-T Atomizer - Type B
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egt-abt-all.htm

Joye eGo-T Tanks (5 pack) - Type B
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egt-tbk-all.htm

Start off with knowing that I'm talking about liking the large tank system - NOT the cartridge or the mega atty. The products I'm talking about are linked above to clear up any confusion. The large tank system is relatively new, and many improvements have been made over the type A small tank.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I've seen the tidbit about brand new carts holding more than used ones before...does that still apply if the cart and filling are washed and dried? If so, why is that? Also, I tried filling a cart just by dripping from the bottle (instead of using a syringe) and stopped when I got the slushy look, like I do with 510 carts, and I still ended up with the same mess when I started vaping.

Anyway, I placed an order for a couple of the Type A atties/carts. I'm going to see how those treat me and depending on how that goes, I might look into the large tanks. In the meantime, I'm going to pick up some blue foam and experiment with that.
