eGo/Tornado-"oilcan" 3.7V/18350 battery powered

leaving the "newbies" area now (i´m only newbie here in this forum, not in e-cigs...) i want to show you my yesterday finished eGo-mod again, but now in the modders forum...
yesterday i wanted to present my latest mod here in modders section, but didn´t get access...lol
(hope thats ok so...)

So that eGo-"oilcan" mod is based on the chinese high quality Cree-Led torch/flashlight from Romisen. (Romisen Cree RC A8)
It runs with 16340er (880mAh) and 18350er (1200mAh) batteries.
the original torch was cut in the middle and you got 2 useable parts...
The first one with original battery cover is used for my SD´s
the other body for oilcan mod.
It contains no extra electronics, only the orig.head from eGo/Tornado...elctronic included.

So you have an eGo with changeable battery and 1200 mAh power,
& chargeable with battery inside via USB
Its not my first mod,
but the first one i show in this forum, hope you like it

Sleazer, I like this a lot, how do you get the protruding part to work? Have you got the same username on the German forum? I did see a nice how to on getting the other piece of the flashlight to press fit with the ego connector over there, that yours too?

Yes indeed, i´m writing in the german forum too.
Many users in- & outside germany are modding e-cigs, mostly to save lots of money
And my main intention is to design them a little bit...make them more pretty ;-)

lol....ok, what "usb charging device" do you see?? all my eGo-Mods are charged with an USB Charger ;-)
So i never have any powerless device at my work, in my car ...
And USB Charger needs less place than my big Trustfire-Charger or taking lots of batteries with me!

Great site and quite the collection. I see you are soldering/brazing the joints (quite nicely too). The 'can' is aluminum, but what metal is the sleeve over the connectors, like on the Alu-Boje 510 zB?

thats quiet simple to answer, the "sleeve" you mean is the original coat in stainless steel,
taken from a original 510er battery, without colour and polished...
I got the body yesterday, gifted from another forums member. It took 1 hour to make that mod (Alu Boje 510) finished ;-)
