Thanks again everyone. I went back to the store and they apologized and exchanged it.
The new Twist is working like a champ so far.
Aargh! Now my C-Twist is refusing to charge.
It just constantly blinks red/green.

The charger blinks back and forth red/green? I had one like that. Had to return it.
There are some kind of "blink patterns" in the chips but I could not for the life of me find any documentation on them. The one that did that to me, I would screw it into the charger, the white LED on the Twist would blink twice at a normal speed then five rapid blinks with the charger doing this red/green flash in sync with it. Would not charge. The blink pattern must mean something but even the vendor couldn't get Joye to tell them anything.
This is strange... It IS charging but the USB device doesn't go solid-green anymore to indicate a full charge (It did so the first time I charged it up.).
I can use the C-Twist, at what seems to be normal levels, but I am just guessing at what is going on with the charger. It IS working, but I don't want my battery to explode.
Without Joye actually publishing what the heck those blinking patterns mean, I'd wanna to replace it myself. Those blinks mean something but I couldn't find out what and my vendor couldn't get Joye to tell them (that may have been a language barrier thing, we're not sure).
While the chances of a battery actually "exploding" (it's not really an explosion but close enough) are very, very, very tiny, why take the chance eh?
Seriously, the "press" is being useless again. You know that cell phones (laptops, tablet computers, music players like the iPod) all use the same kind of batteries? And cell phone "explosions" happen far more often than e-cig battery "explosions"?
Lithium is volatile. That's one reason they're having trouble getting the electric car ready for prime time. You're talking big, big batteries and the cells need to be isolated so if there's an overheating in one, the whole vehicle doesn't blow up. Something that would be very bad for sales.
But there are literally (I mean literally) billions of lithium batteries being used every day and the number of actual catastrophic failures are tiny. I'm more worried about the way people drive on the highways around here than my iPad or Twist blowing up.![]()
I just decided "What the heck!" And set up my eGo-C Twist for a recharge before I went to bed last night. When I woke up... TADA!!!
Sold green LED and a full charge. The problem is that it took, at least, 20 hours of charging to get the green LED.
I got about 18 hours of use on the first charge so now I'll try it again on this one and try another recharge cycle.

Wait, you get 18 hours on a charge? How big is that battery? Can ya start your car with it?
I have 1000 mAh Twists and get around six or seven hours on a charge. Then again, I'm a fairly heavy vaper (was a pretty heavy smoker as well). Definitely doesn't take 20 hours to charge a battery. Takes less than the charge lasts on the one in use definitely.
Maybe the batteries are fine and the charger is being flaky?
When I plug my eGo Twist into the charger the LED is solid red, and then turns green when fully charged. Hope this helps.
I am not using the C-Twist much at all. I have an eGo USB VV and use that most of the time... at home and in the car.

Still, I'm kinda worried about how long it's taking to recharge.
I agree with ilovehugehits to double check you have a legit Joye "rapid" eGo charger and not a knock off. Or if it is a branded one, are you running it from a wall adapter or a USB port? I've never tried charging my eGo batteries off a USB port. USB can't provide a great deal of power and maybe the charger can't go as fast as it could off a wall adapter?
(I'm just speculating here but it would make sense if the charger is "smart" enough to not try pulling too much power off a USB port and overloading it.)
I've two batteries, both 1000 mAh and get, as I said, about six to seven hours off a charge. The one charging is always ready before the one I'm using runs out. The chargers, at full power, run near half and amp so a 1000 mAh battery shouldn't take more than two to three hours.
A charger meant for 510 "cig-a-like" batteries may well be able to charge an eGo but it'll take a loooong time. Does yours look like this?
Joyetech eGo Rapid USB Charger
Or something else? I mean, other than MVP stamping their brand on it. Just the shape and all...
My Charger looks exactly like that but with the Joyetech logo.

FWIW... I have only tried recharging the C-Twist with the eGo-USB Charger using the USB-wall adapter. I have been using my

for most of my vaping.
Now THAT thing has gone twitchy and it is actually the device I use the most.
The C-Twist works fine, it just does not seem to indicate a full charge even though it is ready to go.
I called MFS today and they made a note of the issue.
I am officially out of ideas.
Though my wall adapter (Joye branded) looks like this:
Joye eGo USB and USB Wall Charger
Not from that vendor, that was just the first photo I could find that showed it exactly. Even the same branding. But I can't think of why the one you have wouldn't work. So far as I know, the wall adapter unit itself just needs to be able to deliver a decent amount of power. The charger unit has the control chip and the link you gave goes to the correct charger. So I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be just fine. I bought a spare 2 amp wall adapter off Amazon to use with my stuff and haven't any trouble. I don't think the charger cares where the power comes from long as it gets a sufficient amount to charge the batteries.
I'm most suspicious of the little charger unit than anything. Maybe it's just gone whacky. But, yeah, talk to MFS. It's almost as if the charger unit is running at the level of a 510 charger, not an eGo charger.
You know, just on the odd chance you got the wrong one, check the part of the charger that you screw the battery into. I have a Joye 510 charger still from my "cig-a-like" days and I went and looked. The power rating on it is: DC 4.2v 150mA. The one for the Twist is DC 4.2v 420mA. You should have the 420mA one.
That's the only other thing I can think of. The chargers look so much the same, what if MFS slipped and shipped the wrong one?
At 150mA, the big batteries would take ages to charge. I would guess (but ain't testing it) the 510 charger could charge an eGo but it would take forever.
Other than that (which, really, is pretty unlikely), I'm out of ideas. Something's gone whacky. But MFS would have to figure this one out. It just shouldn't take that long to charge your battery. My 1000mAh batteries take less than three hours. The one charging always finishes before the one I'm using runs down. I haven't timed it but 1000mAh divided by 420mA means they should charge in about 2.5 hours. A 650mAh battery should charge in roughly an hour and a half.
Definitely not 20 hours or something like that. That's just...weird...
...but It looks like the USB WallWart is the defective link. BTW, My USB WallWart is NOT a Joyetech branded item and it looks NOTHING like the one in your post. The one I have is a cheap Chinese POS labeled as "ACDC ADARTOR."
Bingo!
I just looked at the Joye wall adapter I have and it specs at an output of 5.0v 500mA (five volts, half an amp). If the one you have is below 500mA, it can't drive the charger. Well, not very well at least. Or even if it claims it can do 500mA (or higher), could just be junk.
By the way, if you have other USB wall adapters, long as they're 500mA or up, they'll work. In a pinch, I've used my iPad wall adapter. It can handle up to 2 amps, four times what the charger needs.
But, yeah, if it did fine in a USB port but terrible with the wall adapter, I think you found the culprit.![]()
