If they wanted they could make a safe ego auto. Think about it they have that big ego connection they could make it in 2 pieces and have some poly fill in-between. Just sell it with a dozen pieces of dense poly fill shaped to fit. Change it out every time you leak. They could also shape a switch to sit beneath the connection with the rest of the battery sealed so if you soak the switch just swap it out.

I've had mine for a few days now and, oh man, 4.6v is sweet with an emdcc! If my math is right, that's just over 14 watts of power. Compare that to just under 7 watts using a standard ego battery. The battery is longer than expected but, doesn't bother me that much. It doesn't last as long as my 1100mAh batteries (about half as long) but higher voltage will drain it faster obviously. I like that it has the 10 second safety cutoff, 5 click shutoff, and low voltage cutoff too.
Now just make a normal 510 thread battery that runs at 4.6v and doesn't look like a freakin' bomb and I'll be set :)

As some of you get these in and give them a go, we would love to hear your experiences vaping at various voltages with this unit. Are you being able to experiment (especially those who have not used varaibles before) with cartos and juices that you have used mostly at 3.2-3.3v on a regulated eGo. How do you like the ease of switching voltages with the dial, etc. I have a feeling that many may be using a VV for the first time as this presents a more elegant VV solution from the form factor to the ease of use (no menus to research and drill into, etc).

One of the notes I made on the product pages for this is to TWIST down (take it to lowest setting) whenever switching cartos, and start up from the lowest setting.

I absolutely love my Twist. Will be getting more of them in a bit.

I use it differently from the Provari. On the Provari I set the voltage on the menu first, and then adjust it as needed by looking at the numbers.

The Twist is less precise, but easier to use. I just set it on the lowest number - turn the dial to the stop - and then adjust up without even looking at it, by feel and taste. You get a feel for it very quickly. It would be nice if the numbers were more visible, but it doesn't matter as much as I thought it would, since I mostly don't look at them anyway.

And it sure as heck beats having to carry a big heavy tube around. :D

It's really nice, very functional, and you can't beat the price for the VV functionality. Great product, imo. Hope the longevity matches the other factors.

One thing that I noticed though is that this batt heats up at the cartomizer end with chain-vaping, unlike the regular eGos. Don't know if that means anything...

1000mAh twist arrived today, fully charged (thanks GV!). The pictures don't tell the whole story: this thing is HUGE.

A year ago I wrote, "Someday someone is going to get this PV thing dialed in perfectly."

It looks like we have a winner. Twist at 3.8v against LR Stardust (2.1-2.4 ohm) seems to be perfect. I bet the normal Stardust does just fine at a higher voltage.

Kudos!

Should the button on the battery light up while charging my twist? My charger light is red and blinks every now and then. I am using a 500mah charger. Thanks!

I'm not sure but here's what mine did:
The USB wall-wart lit red (and stayed lit red even once the battery was fully charged)
The light on the charger (a Joyetech ego charger that goes between the battery and the wall-wart) was red, then changed to green once charged. Not sure if it blinked because I wasn't watching it (my normal charger I use for IMR batteries lights red and that starts blinking faster the more charged the batteries are).
Once fully charged the light on the charger turned green.
The button light on my Twist turned on (white) when first attached to the charger but turned off after a couple seconds and stayed off the rest of the time.

HTH, if not I'm sure someone will post a better answer!

Okay, just received my 650mah twist. This is my first VV and I can say so far I am loving it. Trying it with my stardusts and familiar juice.

I have in the past used mostly regular 650 ego batteries. The twist at around 3.8 with a LR stardust is great. Better flavor and vapor then the regular ego battery.

If anybody is interested in the size comparison, the 650mah twist is just one inch longer than the standard 650 ego and just a hair under 1/2 inch shorter than my 1000mah pass through that I recently purchased from GV. Twist with Stardust total 6 1/16 inch long. The reason I bought the 650 was to keep the size on the smaller side. I am very pleased with the look.

Switching voltages is very easy, but I do find it hard to read the dial with my old eyes. I am sure this will get easier as I get more familiar with it.

One question:

Danno said "One of the notes I made on the product pages for this is to TWIST down (take it to lowest setting) whenever switching cartos, and start up from the lowest setting. "

Is it necessary or recommended to turn down the battery all the way when changing cartos if you are using the exact same type of carto and juice? Just curious.

Reason I mention that is for safety sake or just to make sure you don't burn a lil because the carto is lower than the ohm it was advertised at (happens from time to time as each carto has a variance of +/- .2 normally). Its just a good habit when mounting a new carto no matter what it is rated at as sometimes the ohmages may vary from carto to carto. But if you removed it to fill it and then replace it its not so necessary. YMMV of course :)
