Hello, I own a 1600mAh LiPo baterry, non-variable voltage at 3.7v. Is it ok to charge it with this type of charger? I think it's a classic ego charger

Yes, it should be fine. :thumb:

Just for safety's sake, I do recommend charging any batteries on a flame-resistant surface. For example:
  • stove top
  • marble counter top
  • pyrex glass dish
  • metal cookie pan
Statistically, most battery incidents occur while they are charging. Ego batteries are Li-Poly in chemistry, which are not safe chemistry (meaning they can vent into flames when they go into thermal runaway). Although there are protection circuits installed in the battery & charger, electrical components can always fail. That's not worth loosing a home or a life.

Never charge a battery when away from home and not able to keep an eye on the battery/charger.

Thanks for your detaliated answer. I would never charge them overnight because it's dangerous. That is all I wanted to know:)

Baditude is the go to for battery questions. I charge mine on a marble counter top and only when I am near it. I tend to touch it occasionally to see if it is getting too hot but that is just me being paranoid.
Same!!! I use to gently touch it, but stays cold in the charging cycle, that is good to go. Cheers and be safe!
