Hi all....I'm thinking about getting an eGo, but don't necessarily need a starter kit or everything that typically comes with one. I have a regular 510, and then I have the "Hello Jewels' product, which is basically like an eGo sized battery with some "bling" on it...its also 510 compatible. That said...I have plenty of cartos, and 2 different 510 chargers (one for each of those batteries). My main question is...do I need to use the specific charger that would be included with an eGo starter kit, or would it be ok to use the other 510 chargers I already have on an eGo battery? Thanks!

YES ~ you need the specific ego charger, please see recent related threads on using the wrong chargers (if you can't locate them, I'll check for the links) and the problems they present. For what you can get a kit for including the charger it isn't worth chancing your safety, hth! 
eGo charger specs : Output 4.2v--420 mA. That is directly off my eGo pigtail that was included in my kit
Thank you...I thought this was the case based on some other things I had read, but figured I would specifically mention the chargers I have just in case. Saving a few bucks is definitely not worth any safety risk though....thanks again!
I have one other question actually.....with the USB chargers...is it safe to use those with a usb-wall adapter? (I have a few of those from various items....so I wasn't sure if plugging a Joye eGo USB charger into the wall adapter could also pose a risk?
I have charged mine on a generic USB wall adapter that went with a universal cell phone charger. I'm not sure you are supposed to, but I have done it.
Also if you don't want a complete set, you can order just a charger. I saw a charger somewhere for around $10.

I don't recommend mixing/matching from kits. Most kits that you order will specify if they have a wall wart, if not you can usually get one for a few dollars from the same supplier that's intended for the kit. hth!

Thanks so much for the info...I've found some sites where I can just buy the battery and the specific eGO charger, so I will probably go that route. I'm always near a computer in some way shape or form, so its not really a requirement that I can plug the USB charger into the wall adapter. Thanks again!
Have you looked into an eGo pass through? You can vape while you charge and use any USB socket. I love mine!
