I recently picked up an ego-V as a cheap VV setup, but am wondering about the quality. First, I have only charged it about 3 times now (I run it dead each time). In the "manual" (if you can call it that) it says it should take about 2.5-3 hours to gain a full charge. Mine is indicating via the LCD that it's charging in about 1.5 hours, or less.

Also, my backup battery is a regular ego-C, which has only been charged about a half dozen times since new, and is again completely drained before I charge it. It seems to last about 2, maybe 2.5 days on a charge (very pleased) if I use it all day, whereas my ego-V will last a day and a half or so. I'm only running the V at 3.7ish volts usually, and the stock C battery is rated at 3.3.

Did I get a bad battery out of the box, a bit of a lemon? Or does the slightly higher voltage really take that much of a toll on battery life?

Mitey F - Did you get the one with the screw cap over the USB charge port? If not it is a SLB type which uses a LiPo battery, this should be better than the normal LiIon battery (it is the battery that most RC hobbiest use). I think you might have a bad battery if its dying that fast. I just ordered the "Truman" version because it uses the standard type battery and can also be charged by the normal eGo charger (I am worrying that it might be a subpar battery though). If you have the Truman version (it has a screw on cap for the charge port), you might have just confirmed that it is a subpar battery. Well I only wasted $30 if it is. PBusardo did a review on Youtube on both versions, here is the link.

I just recently bought a 650 mah eGo-V battery and the battery will drain within 1-2 hours and according to the booklet that came with it, it should take 2.5-3 hours to charge. I run it at 4.5V and usually have to charge it 2-3 times a day if not more. I was wondering if it was a bad battery as well because according to the booklet the battery should last about 6 hours, I'm lucky if I get 3. I am not vaping on it continually, and don't feel that I vape so much that it would cause the battery to die that quickly. I am thinking about taking this one back to my local B&M and tell them the issue and see if I can upgrade to the 1100mah battery and hopefully that one will work better. until than, anyone have any ideas?
