ego vision clearomizer 1 good 1 DOA?

Hello everyone!

I am new to vaping. I bought a ego twist starter kit from a local shop with 2 ego vision clearomizers and 10 smoktech dual coil lr cartomizers. I hope I am getting the lingo correct.

Anyways. I also got a varity of e-juice to try and find a daily juice.

So far I have been 2 days with out an analog.

I have been testing the e-juice in the cartomizers and found 2 good (i hope) daily juices. So I fill up my first clearomizer with "swagger", a tobacco-carmel blend, and I am loving it! Great feel of the vapor in my mouth and very satisfying.

The second one is the issue. I am not sure why it is not working. I filled the second clearomizer with a juice named "pink spot" a nice raspberry-lime flavor. I was carful to hold the clearomizer at an angle to fill it and not get any juice on the center part. But I do not get any vapor at all out of it. I feel like it is not "pulling" any juice up to the heating element.
I do not get any vapor.

Did I just get a bad clearomizer? Is there something I may have missed when I was shown how to fill them?

Your clearo probably isn't making contact on your twist. Look at the bottom of the clearo, the center post needs to be flush with the outer ground portion of the connector (not the eGo skirt). You might have to pull that center post down just a touch.

You would be far better off with single coil cartos on a twist than those DCC's.

I read a lot about malfunctioning clearomizers. I don't use them because of that. I just use cartomizers no tank. Boges & Smoketechs work great for me. No leaks no cracking no burnt taste.
You can get a 5-pack for about $7 while you try to figure out this clearomizer problem.

Yep. Single coil cartomizers. Not dual coil.

+1 on single coil cartos for the twist... much better flavor than clearos. Try adding a 3.5ml tank for superior vaping.

On the Boges & Smoketechs cartomizers I should look for single coil then and what resistance should i be looking for?

That's why you got the twist, you can use any resistance you like. However the 3ohm carto will normally outlast the 2ohm carto.

Welcome to the clearomizer world--worst QC ever... You will bleed money and that one was great, one sucked story will be your life...

Ego Twist:

Vivi Nova 2.5 (surevapes)
Vivi mini (gotvapes has cool collars for both)
Learn to rewick them with cotton wicks
Leak proof... No leaks ever! I will repeat: leak proof.
Wash wicks until you learn to rewick with cotton--new heads are $3... I washed mine for 2 weeks: 0$/2 weeks.
End game.


It's what I use, many people use... youtube them, search for them here... throw leaky clearos away... Getting into the vivis initially will save you piles of cash and frustration--the twist adjusts your voltage which means you can use any of the three heads the vivi comes with and make it work with your juice.

Sounds good. It looks like I will be on the hunt for a tank system to use at work, then some new cartos to relax with at home.

The Vivi novas sure look tempting.

Are there any other tank systems that I should be looking at?

Well I played with my non-working vision clearomizer and still could not get it to work.

I tried moving the center post. But no luck. It is odd. When I try to just take a pull though the clearomizer it feels plugged.
If I remove my ego and try to pull though it it seems ok.

But I put in an order at gotvapes for a Vision Mini ViVi Nova 2.5ml, 2 Twist-On heads with long wics, and a collar for my ego.
