Sorry I let this thread slip by me... The eGo VV batts I have are not joyetech. The LCD at the bottom (there are five sections) lets you know how charged the batts are, and there's a LED ring around the connector end of the batt that lets you know which voltage you have selected by changing colors. I got them from gotvapes . com: They are the 900 mah model. They've been working for me for a while - at least as long as my Joyetechs or SLB Rivas. YMMV

I'm seriously looking at those. What do you see for battery life when you up the voltage?

I've had the VV batts for about a month now, and when I use the highest voltage (4.2) exclusively, I usually have to charge the batt every other day; when I use the lower voltages I charge about every third day or so. The "real" eGo-T batts I have are 1000mah, and I charge them about twice a week. So, I would say that the performance of the VV at the highest voltage is almost on par with a non-VV eGo type batt. I also rotate through 4 batts during the day (two Joyetech eGo-Ts and two eGo type VVs), so that should be taken into consideration for comparison's sake.

Once I've had these batts for a couple more months, I'll be better able to give a fair comparison.

These? VP Ego Pass-Through Battery

It says Ego passthrough battery because it adds the 4.2v PT voltage to the selections. It should be called the Ego variable voltage battery, IMO.

Do you see a marked improvement in the vapor and taste over the charge life or is it just noticeable with a fresh charge? I could see dialing it up as the battery loses charge to compensate.

I definitely can tell a marked difference in vapor quality and quantity using the differing voltages, but a freshly charged batt has more "oomph" than one that's close to requiring a charge (not surprising). Having the choice of voltages allows me to get the vapor and taste I want from different combos of cartos and juices. Some juices taste a lot different at 3.3v than they do at 4.2v. I've tried using a higher voltage when the batt charge is running low to compensate, but a juice that tastes good around 3.3v but not at 4.2v still doesn't taste good if I up the voltage to compensate.

Oh, and the VV batts I use do not have a passthrough feature. They are these batts:

eGo 900mah Variable Voltage 3 Stage 510 Battery

I hope I made some sense? :D All in all, I am really digging the eGo "type" VV batts I have; the only improvement I'd like to see is a shut-off mode.

Very helpful. Thanks!
