Kind of. That is, the Riva is 750 mAh, while the basic* eGO is 650 mAh. However they are the same physical size. Although the price for each model varies from supplier to supplier (and from time to time because of sales), you are likely to find a Riva for a lower price than an eGO. Also the manual switch button on the Riva is a bit smoother than the eGO's.

* There also are 900 mAh and 1000 mAh Mega batteries for the eGO (aka Tornado). They are longer, of course, especially the 1000 mAh Tornado version (from Totally Wicked).

FYI: There are other eGO-type models as well, e.g., the Hello 016, Inferno, and Vgo. [NOTE: The Vgo link is to just one of several suppliers which carry it.]

I say more about the eGO/Tornado, Riva, and Hello 016 on the bottom of this page of my WWV V2, with links to suppliers here.

I have the Riva, eGo, and Tornado and they're virtually the same in action. The Riva at 750mAh does last a bit longer @45 minutes to an hour longer than the 650mAh batts. Most people prefer the Riva button. I'm the exception - the eGo/Tornado button is easier to engage, imo but it's plastic whereas the Riva is rubber. It seems more substantial but again in practice I haven't had any problem with any of them and the eGo takes less effort.

So far all attys, mega eGo attys, cone/attys and mega eGo cartos work fine on all three models. I'd go with the best price but also consider the best warranty. I've had several different mods and the eGo/Tornado/Riva has won me over. I still have a few Bartlebys in play because of the usb capability of that mod. I also just recently got the usb eGo battery that Toby mentioned and it works just fine - it will stay in my car.
