The button on my variable voltage ego got crushed when I dropped it. Now I'm going to have to put it in a mod to replace the button and I thought while I'm at it I might replace the battery. I've read that it might be possible to get another battery and still charge it from the ego fast charger. Has anyone tried it before with a regular ego or vv, and if this worked could I still use the variable voltage feature?

I have seen replacement button assemblys for them . I have an Ego W VV myself. You would have to order directly from china... I will try and find the links for you. I dont see why you couldnt use the electronics to apply to a mod. If all that is wrong is the switch you could even just replace that. As long as the connector end of your mod is the same thread size as the ego charger... you are in business.

The clear plastic button is fine. The problem is the inner button/switch it split and the little pieces inside got lost. I cant replace something that small but there are two places to solder wires for a different button. I'll try it with an 18350.

Anyone have an idea what would happen if I tried this with 2 batteries for high voltage. I'm thinking it either wouldn't work or at the very least wouldn't work in 3 different voltages, but if it did that would such an easy high voltage vv mod.
