Just wanted to post this up and see what everyone thinks. This is my first tank and it was a reasonable price. It came with a 1.5 carto but it was a bit hot for me so I switched it out to a 1.7 resurrector and now it is just perfect. The only thing that was a bit of a challenge was that the 1.5 had the flange at the bottom of the carto to keep the tank from sliding off. My solution was just hacking down my ego cone just below the tank so it would act like the flange on the 1.5. I live in Honolulu so I didn't feel like ordering a shorty cone and waiting 3-5 days to get it. Let me know what you guys think....my first mod.....if you can call it that....lol.

Nice :)

I've been using ghetto tanks made from 6ml plastic bottles for awhile now and prefer them to storebought tanks or homemade syringe tanks. Pic here -

If you're so inclined you might give it a try sometime - here's the video on how to make them -

Well thats the good part, these were only $16 and they have delrin caps. The reason they slide are because there are no rubber grommets between the carto and the caps. I have to say they are pretty snug though until you get some juice between the two. I thought they would most likely leak between the carto and the caps but they have been in my pocket at work and haven't leaked....and I work in construction as a tile setter.

Yeah, I was wondering if the juice would kinda lubricate it & make it slide; I got some grommets and a piece of tube and I'm going to try making my own tank-saving my last unused blank carto for it.

It does make it a bit slippery at first but then that goes away eventually as you use it. I actually notice that the Volcano tanks resemble the smoketech tanks because I compared it to one that my co-worker has. The caps seem to be identical except for the fact that my tank is narrower. I think that there is a tank out there that uses only grommets.......here it is. It is called a notta tank, seems to be simple but effective:
