...Yet another another option for you would be to get DC Cartos at a higher resistance. Vendors carry them at 2-3 ohm resistances now and those should work for you in the tank you have as it is.
Actually you have single coil, or standard 510 like the boge, and dual coil or 510 XL like the smoktech. The diameter is the same, only the DC is longer to accomodate two coils instead of just one.
Regardless of brand, the sizes will be the same. All 510 single coils are about the same size, and all 510XL dual coils are about the same size. Now when you get into mega XLs, XXLs etc., then the diameters will be bigger and won't work with tanks.
Thank you again for your help, you are very informative and have some great ideas (if i cant find a boge tank i'll try cutting with a socket and goo gone).
however I think you're off about a few things.
First, the lavatube has a Short Circuit/Atomizer Protection built in. This means that low resistance and dual coils get droped down automaticly around 3-3.5v no matter how high you set it (it does not show this in the window, but using a screw on volt meter you can see what you're actually getting under load). Lava tubes only play nice with single coil 3.0ohm cartos (only way to get 4-6v). This is just one of the many reasons provari is still better (though I'll never pay that much for one).
Second, they cartos they sell, and that I have, are the long kind, but single coil 3.0. volcanoe only offeres two replacment cartos for their tube tank (both same length) 1.5 dual coil and 3.0 single coil. Tube Tank - Refill Cartomizer
So the long single coils are out there too, confusing us all.
EDIT... The only thing I've found so far that seems like it was made for a boge, are the J-Tank (out of stock), JonBoyUSMC's lava tanks (near impossible to get), and Depth Charge tanks (I'm not paying $50 for a tank). Is my only option at this point to cut?
edit 2.. I'm on the way to get a pipe cutter, sadle valve, and some syeringes. I'm gonna do this myself for a few bucks instead of giving all my money away and waiting for the mail.
