Ok, so I picked up a liquinator tank and a bunch of DCC cartos off the classifieds earlier this week. I was really excited to try it only to be sorely disappointed when I tried it out on my 1100mah Ego PT. The hit was reminiscent of a lower end cigarette style 2pc ecig.
I was warned this might be the case and that they performed well at 5v. Not having a 5v mod, I started checking into some but since I'd need everything from the mod itself to batts, chargers, etc just to find out if I liked the tanks to begin with, I decided against that route.
That's when I stumbled across the Ego Booster VV. Got it in the mail today and the difference is night and day at 4.7v. So much so that I'm going to have to drop my nic level as I gave myself a headache the first 30min.
Granted, this setup is probably not one that I'd take out an about. My adult son told me it makes him feel "inadequate"...bit of an overshare on his part.
Anyhow..here's my set up. Brushed stainless 1100mah Ego PT, same finish on the Booster, shorty cone (for aesthetics) and the 5ml Liquinator with the DCC (no idea what brand).
I'm a clearomizer person in general and if the Stardust performs as reviewed, my tank might quickly become obsolete. If not, this could work for me for awhile.
For anyone looking into the DCCs for their Ego, look into it a bit further before you go gung ho as they really are pretty crappy on lower voltage batts.
