I rebuilt my rba with the prebuilt/prewicked coils. Now the fire button just blinks and won't fire. The wire isn't touching any sides, screws are tight, and coil isnt touching the post except the pos/neg post holes. I even covered the leads with the wick to prevent short. Any ideas what I did wrong? Advice?

They were the prebuilt coils that came with the rba it so I'd guess +1.2ohms but until my 510 adapter shows up I don't know for sure.

my best bet would be that the center pin is not connecting to ur atty or u might have a short somewhere make sure that the coil is not touching anything like the bace or the cover of the atty.
sometimes the center pin gets pushed down so you can get a tiny screwdriver and pull it back up and it should work fine

I would suggest trying another coil and then wait on something that you can check the ohms on before trying to diagnosis the first coil. If it's a short somewhere you could create another problem.
Ive tried 3 and even tried watching a YouTube video where I built it just like theirs. That also isn't working.
Da8ap...not sure what you meant by center pin. There is a hole through the center under the coil going through the bottom for air flow.
Also when I put it all back together after adjusting stuff, it sometimes fires for a second then starts to blink again.
u have to take ur atty out of the mod and look inside the center of the 510 connection there is normally a pin that makes the + connection to the atty sometimes that does down and does not make the connections all u have to do is pull it back up

In general, screwing either base too tightly into the eGrip will cause this to happen. Try backing off the base a quarter turn and try again.

This is the RBA base for the joyetech egrip. Its a screw in the base style coil setup.
Agreed on that. Mines on the way. I have a fu-hattan with a plume viel and have been building coils for a little while now so that adapter will hopefully be an easy fix.
All the 510 adapter is is a two piece "cradle" that allows you to put the stock coil base or the RBA coil base into it to test the coil on a meter or APV with a 510 connection. It sort of looks like a mock RDA of some sorts with a 510 base and a screw on cap.
Yeah and allows you to check it on an ohm tester too. Which will be nice.
