Not sure if this is the right thread...Don't know why this is happening. I'm using 500 SS Mesh tight rolled, 30g wire. 80/20 Coffee juice from MBV. The juice is drying up and building up on the wick, covering the coils. Has anyone had this problem? I'm thinking i might have a short somewhere, juice is too thin, or the ingredients in the juice. Really can't figure this out! It's also turning my juice BLACK, can't see through it at all. Please help! Thanks.

My juice boils... flavor was muted also. I dry burned twice now running 1.7ohm at 4v and brings taste back so I'm learning what to do as I go along (I'm hoping).. have mad murdock radiator pluid in the tank of my AGA-T2. not even sure what ratio the juice is. Did have buidup on the coils when I dry burned the coils.

try not giving too much juice to the wick (like tilting too much) when you vape... just get a decent amount on the coil and vape it all off.
This is typical of a lot of darker thicker and SWEETER juices.
thats my take on it anyway ymmv.

Yeah, i heard the same about the sweeter juices. I don't ever tilt it, the solid wick wicks like a champ. You're probably right though, might wick too well. Too bad MBV doesn't have 70/30, that wicked really well. Don't think 65/35 will wick right with the 500 mesh. I used to have a 70/30 sweet juice from ECB, but didn't build up at all like that. Tried their 60/40, but didn't wick well. I love MBV's flavors and price, but have to switch back to ECB.

strange; for me it would do that moreso when i had a hot spot and was burning the juice... i guess finding the right setup is the ideal and it varies per what gear you use...
hot spots will burn juice for sure, and Pluid is sweet and fairly thick; half the time i get darkening, or at least some residue at bottom of tank; its pretty common, but again, getting all the factors right helps a lot.

the 500 mesh should work fine with a higher vg juice. although my juice is alcohol based when I used to vape ss mesh I used 500 mesh and 100 percent vg, and never had any wicking issues at all. I love sweet juices as well and no doubt sweeter juices will gunk up the coil quicker and I had that very same issue in the past, im not sure why this issue went away for me, it could be a few reasons, one I increased my wattage, which meant that I lowered my resistance, which inturned decreased my wraps. I went from like 5 or 6 wraps of 28g to 3 wraps, and those 3 wraps were spread out more, this might decrease the amount of build -up. also I tried a couple of sweet juices from COV/ butterscotch & kona crème coffee, to me they were just as sweet but because they were alcohol based this might of been the reason of less build-up. but I would think that if you dry burned regularly this would stop the excessive build up on the coils.
