As someone else mentioned, I probably won't find a good cig flavor juice, but more like tobacco. I'm fine with that.
thank you all for the suggestions. Keep em coming
True. I don't think it's possible to replicate the taste of a cigarette - there's so much more going on in there than the tobacco itself, including, and perhaps more than anything else, the burning. Can't replicate the taste of ash and smoke without fire
I'm finding I don't "need" it as much as I thought I would. I still gravitate towards tobaccos and coffees, but I now appreciate the real tobaccos flavor (cigar or pipe-like) and additional flavors in them. Probably because they're stronger and darker than bakery and fruit flavors.
You could try M-Type by The Plume Room. The taste is not as spot-on as reviews make it to be, but it's close enough. More like the whole sensation of a cigarette. No complexity, just straight, in-your-face light tobacco. I smoked a tank of it and realized I didn't like it that much, made me realize I didn't really LIKE the taste of cigarettes, although I really thought I loved it.
Have you ever stopped smoking for a while (just a few days perhaps) ? Do you remember how the first cigarette tasted after that ? The first few puffs taste like ash and are not really good. Then it comes back. But that IS the real taste of the thing. That's why they can't really replicate it.
Now, I don't think I would have reached that point if I had been a dual smoker. I had to give up cigarettes for a while. I made a deal with myself. I still had a couple of cigarettes in my pack. So I allowed myself to smoke them if I really wanted one - but NOT before vaping first. So when I wanted a cig, I would vape, and then, if that wasn't enough, then I was allowed to smoke a cigarette. It worked over the course of a week-end. When my pack was gone, I did smoke a few of the remaining "butts" (yeah...) but the craving wasn't enough to get me out of the door to buy a new pack (HUGE progress). Then after a couple of days, I just didn't want a cig anymore.
So that's my advice. If you WANT to stop, then try that. For a few days, only allow yourself a cigarette after vaping for a few minutes if you still want one. Maybe you'll be as surprised as I was. Maybe what you need to get over the hump is a little bit of ... making it happen.
