I have been chasing the perfect build for Kfl and tried Ekowool with cotton core. It does wick ok but does anyone actually like it better than plain cotton for flavor? I have tried many wicking materials, spent a ton of money and am finding that cheap organic cotton is best for me. Anyone expierence any different?

Not a new thing they even had a name for it but for some reason it did not last. It was called TWICK. I make it for some uses. The cotton core is a tad bit better i think but it makes the wick thicker so it is not good for all things. Organic cotton is hard to beat in most applications.
I just put a 2mm ekowool with cotton core wick on kayfun 3.1 with Pander. I used 26 gauge kanthal, 7 wrap micro coil and it is actually tasting better now with the 26 gauge build as opposed to the 28 gauge build ( not sure if that is making a difference) with 3mm of same wick type. But still not as good as organic cotton.
